As a very busy solo Mum of two, these are some of my essential items for witching hour(s).. my baby carrier () and my Thermomix! This is the only way I've found it possible to ensure William gets in his 3rd nap and isn't too overtired plus a healthy and delicious dinner gets made for dinner.. simultaneously! Kids in the kitchen 👨‍🍳! Getting kids involved in the meal preparation process is great for encouraging them to explore and try new foods. I find if Oliver helps me cook a meal he eats a lot more of it - a threenager loves something that is "their idea" 😉. Tonight's dinner was homemade pizza. He chose to put zucchini and sweet potato on his. Mine was zucchini, anchovies, dukkha and goats cheese 👌. Pizza dough is super easy to make and I find it is even better in the Thermomix as it kneads it perfectly and there's no horrible clean up of dough stuck to the bench!

I was very happy to find the rental I recently moved in to has a beautiful big banana tree! These Lady Finger bananas were grown in my backyard!

The banana bread recipe on Cookidoo is So. Damn. Delish. I have made it quite a few times already but keep forgetting to take a pic as we eat it whilst still warm. Yummmm!
