My passion for eating good food over cooking has brought me to you. Yes, I am obsessed with serving food, with love, to my near and dear ones. Born and brought up in lovely Coimbatore, I lived and worked in Bangalore for 13 years before we settled here in Australia in 2014. I’ve a full-time job, young family and almost always a growing list of to-dos lined up on my fridge. A Telugu by origin, brought up with Tamil taste on the tongue with a tinge of Kerala style food as Coimbatore is city bordering Tamil Nadu & Kerala. Having lived in Karnataka for over a decade would qualify me for a complete South Indian cook. I belong to a family of great cooks where we firmly believe in making spice powders and pickles in our own kitchen. Making sambhar podi, idli milagai podi, mango pickle, lemon pickle, tomato thokku, etc, comes like a breeze with my grand mom, mom and mom-in-law. Not to miss, I’m coming from a family whose bread and butter was made from the restaurant my family ran in Coimbatore for 3 decades.
I have been pondering about venturing into this cooking world for many years, but strongly discouraged for the effort involved in establishing and maintaining the quality. Now that I have earned courage and support with a strong belief in my abilities, I am here to display my enduring passion for good food, dedication in delivering with quality over quantity, with wonderful handpicked recipes for homemade spice powders, pickles and thokkus that we Aussie Indians are missing. So, why not let me share my passion in bringing a little more colour and spice into your kitchen almost daily?
