I have been meaning to cook with soba noodles for a while and now I’m wondering why I didn’t do it sooner. Such a quick and healthy meal to put together!

For this one, I made a simple dressing with soy, mirin, sake and rice wine vinegar. Next time I’ll try a miso version with seaweed and either peanuts or crispy shallots for some crunch.

It keeps so well for leftovers and is just as good eaten cold.

Should I add this one to the menu? šŸ‘€

Knowing my meals make someone’s week a little easier (and tastier!) truly makes my day.

The cooler weather in Brisbane has me thinking about Christmas. šŸŽ„ā„ļø

Growing up in India, Christmas meant winter, cosy days and festive celebrations. Even after all these years in Australia, I still haven’t quite gotten used to Christmas being in the middle of summer!

Throw back to when Chevonne was helping me get all those Christmas cookie orders packed and ready. ā¤ļø

It’s been a crazy week and it’s only Monday 😬😬

But while I try to catch up, here’s another cake from the December archives šŸ˜…

This one was for a basketball fan celebrating their 12th birthday šŸ€

Custom cakes are always my favourite because no two are ever the same. There’s something special about turning a person’s interests into cake.

After my taco seasoning post, I had so many messages asking what other blends I make… so here’s one that’s always on rotation in my kitchen — my lamb marinade.

Made from scratch with herbs and spices I blend myself, this one was made for lamb cutlets and honestly the smell alone had everyone hovering around the kitchen early.

One thing about Anisha’s Kitchen — I’m always making my own blends. It means I can keep flavours bold, preservative-free, and easily cater around food allergies without compromising on taste.

Would you want to see more of the seasonings and marinades I make?

PYO cookies make the perfect party favour or take-home gift šŸŽØšŸš€

These personalised cookie packs were made for Athan’s ā€œfirst trip around the sunā€ celebration for his friends and family in Perth 🪐

And yes… these cookies really did fly all the way to Perth. After completely miscalculating postage times (honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking šŸ˜…), the cookies made a quick detour to Adelaide with a guest who was flying into Perth for the celebrations. Safe to say I was monitoring the Aus Post tracking page like a hawk the entire time.

Thankfully every single cookie arrived safely — not one broken ✨

Swipe through to see the finer details of the customisation. Not only were the cookies designed to match the space theme, but each cookie card also featured a personalised name tag, the birthday boy as a little astronaut, and a sweet message from the cutest little astronaut himself šŸ’«

This cake was made back in March 2025.

I never took proper photos of it, so I never posted it. All I had were these candid moments from the day, and if I’m honest, I kept hesitating and postponing sharing them.

But the expressions on the kids’ faces kept nudging me to post this one šŸ„¹šŸ«

More than the cake itself, it’s the reactions I get when I walk into a room carrying something I’ve made that reminds me why I love what I do.

Made for a Malteasers-loving chocoholic, šŸ¤Ž
