We take family very seriously at King River - and that even extends to our herd.

Here, the young Rich boys are preparing the weaners (young cows) to begin their life away from their mothers - a necessary part of maintaining a breeding herd, so the cows can have a well-earned break! The weaners will be moving closer to the homestead so that we can keep an eye on them…they are teenagers, after all!

Patience delivers perfection.

Chef Andrew Richardson from ELISA, Vancouver’s award-winning steakhouse, has been won over by King River’s consistently marbled Wagyu - every delivery exactly what it needs to be, from one side of the world to another.

Following a visit to King River’s feedlot and operations back in April, Andrew now truly understands the story and the ‘why’ behind our Wagyu. Even better, it’s becoming the choice for perfectly tender, delicious steak in multiple cuts on the menu at Elisa.

Refined dining…but make it outdoors! Some of the finest Wagyu cube roll you’ve ever seen, plated up by Chef Matt Golinski at the St Lawrence Wetlands Festival last weekend under the watchful eyes of King River’s Josh Rich and Harry Kemp. We’ve supported this regional Queensland event for years, and the Wagyu this year was as good as it’s ever been.
