Although fried calamari isn’t really “Japanese”, the wasabi mayo dip is! The creamy sauce with a subtle kick of heat from the wasabi is the perfect pairing to the calamari rings. Plus the calamari are fried in panko crumbs making them so crispy yet light with no heavy oily grease!

These Japanese gyoza dumplings are perfectly crispy and golden on the outside and stuffed with a juicy and flavourful filling. In Japan, we first pan fry the gyoza then steam them to achieve the ideal combination of crispy but tender dumplings.

Wrapping the gyoza can be tricky, but with practice and my video guide, you'll make nicely wrapped gyoza!
