Imagine being able to say, “I heard them at the beginning.”

For 30 years, The Brisbane Club Music Awards have given Members a front-row seat to exceptional emerging talent, often at the very beginning of remarkable careers.

Past winners include Xenia Puskarz-Thomas (2018), Jayson Gillham (2005) and Professor Liam Viney (1997), who have each gone on to make their mark on stages in Australia and around the world.

This October, a new generation of musicians will take to the stage for Crescendo.

Come hear them now. One day, you may be able to say, “I heard them when…”

A memorable evening celebrating the wines of Elderton 🍷

Members were joined by second-generation winemaker Allister Ashmead for an exceptional journey through one of the Barossa Valley’s most respected family-owned estates.

Across the evening, Allister shared the stories, vineyards and philosophy behind eight acclaimed Elderton wines, including two vintages each of the Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon and iconic Command Shiraz, all paired with a specially designed seasonal menu.

A wonderful evening of outstanding Australian wine, thoughtful food pairings and lively conversation.

The Club was in full celebration mode for this year’s President’s At Home.

Members and guests gathered for a vibrant cocktail-style evening of live music, traditional Greek dancing and plenty of time on the dance floor.

Inspired by President Andrew Coronis’ Greek heritage, the evening embraced the spirit of philoxenia, the Greek tradition of generous hospitality and welcoming others as family.

It was a celebration of friendship, connection and the sense of belonging that sits at the heart of The Brisbane Club.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening such a memorable one.

What if a love of wine led you to something far more lasting?

For Lana Thomas, it began with a visit to The Brisbane Club’s Cellar and a determination to return not as a guest, but as a Member.

Nine years later, what began with good wine and great events has grown into some of her closest friendships, valued mentors and professional connections.

As part of our Member Stories series, Lana shares how the Club became part of her life, the people who have shaped her experience, and why the access to wisdom and connection she has found here is something she treasures deeply.

Read her story on our LinkedIn and discover how one visit to the Cellar became the beginning of something much more.

More than a Cellar. A Club tradition.

For generations, wine has held a special place in Club life.

Today, the Cellar is home to an extraordinary collection of fine and aged wines, brought to life through tastings, dinners and conversations shared around the table.

More than a collection, it is a place of discovery, appreciation and connection.
