CHICKEN BACON CHEESE BURGER BANH MI
She’s done it again. Katrina has this amazing knack for taking one of our products, in this instance, our Chicken Bacon Cheese Burgers, and turning it into something bold, addictive and seriously delicious.
The result is a seriously good burger with a fresh, crunchy Banh Mi twist, and a very good excuse to keep a pack of our Chicken Bacon Cheese Burgers in the freezer.
Do go and grab some fresh banh mi rolls from your fave Vietnamese bakery. It’s worth the effort. They may not display them on the shelves for sale, but I’ve always found they’re happy to sell them if you ask.
RECIPE BY KATRINA MEYNINK
This is what happens when a Meat at Billy’s Chicken Bacon Cheese Burger gets on a Jetstar flight to Vietnam and comes back with extra personality.
When you want to fulfil a need with a burger, but part of you also wants the fresh crunch of a Banh Mi, this should hit the sweet spot.
We’ve got our juicy Chicken Bacon Cheese Burger patty, pickles and enough burger sauce to require several napkins. Then all the Banh Mi business: crunchy lettuce, carrot, cucumber and a proper crackly roll.
It’s fresh, filthy and deeply confused about its cultural identity. And I am making it on repeat.
