Tired? Do it anyway?

While I’m making or cleaning up dinner, I’m also packing breakfast and lunches for the next day.

3 reasons I pack the night before:
– Mornings are calmer (we’re up and out by 6:30)
– I get a few extra minutes of sleep or a workout in
– Keeps the kitchen tidy since everything’s already out from the fridge/cupboard

“Thanks it must be my $10 brand new DecJuba jacket I got from the op shop with tags still attached ($180 originally!)”

Seemed perfect to wear for Parent Teacher interview week. Happy to ramble for hours why cooking and business are the best things ever and present so many other learning opportunities than just the final product.

Since Hyrox 3 weeks ago I have done nothing but my daily steps.

For context I was doing a 30min home workout each morning + a treadmill run 5 mornings a week to train.

I definitely needed a rest.

I definitely needed the extra sleep in the mornings.

BUT I have been feeling really blah though.

I have been more short with the kids when they wake up.

My anxiety has flared. My head noise increasing.

So this morning I walked on the treadmill.

I realised I was WAYYY over complicating my expectations. I am not training for a hyrox anymore.

“Just get up. Stay in your PJs and put shoes on.”

So here is me. 3000 steps later. Caught up on socials and work emails. Ready for a new week. And a softer return to movement.

And yes you read that right…I trained for Hyrox from home (with only 3 visits to a gym to practice the equipment). It was ALOT of self motivation and my Chat GPT wrote it all for me. We can do it from home. I promise. Hubby’s work hours are all over the place so it was my only option to make sure I was home with the kids. Mums are amazing. You are amazing 💪

Sunday arvo check in ✌🏻 Mission: use all my veggies in creative/ hidden ways.
🍠Lunchbox quiches with potato, carrot, zucchini, parsley, onion
🍠Rostis with sweet potato, carrot, parsley, onion
Will freeze some and keep some out for each breakfasts/ lunches this week.
🍠Butter chicken with sweet potato, carrot, zucchini, onion, garlic
Now to get the last of my steps in for the day 👣
