Locked in. Eventually. 😅
The eclair had me. I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
But the raw, living, highly probiotic kraut was right there on the desk and honestly what was I supposed to do.

Here's why I started Gutsy 🥬
I had acne, woke up tired most mornings, and knew my gut was the problem. But everything I could find was imported, heat-treated, or made with chemical-sprayed vegetables.
So I started making my own at home.
These oak barrels are where it happens now. 4-week ferment, organic vegetables, wild cultures, raw and living. This is how you do it properly.
12 years on — my gut knows the difference.

I drank bone broth every day for 2 weeks and my gut, skin AND sleep all changed 👀🍵 Here's exactly what happened day by day — because the science behind this is actually wild. Day 3 surprised me the most.
Minimum effective does is one cup in the morning on an empty stomach. to maximise results try 3 cups per day. Watch to the end 👇 Drop a 🍵 if you're going to try this.

He sent this with zero explanation 😂
One of our mates, eating Gutsy kraut straight from the jar, mid-drive. We didn't ask. He just does this.
This is what a 10/10 review really looks like. Raw, living, highly probiotic kraut.

Founder behaviour 😅
12 years of making wild fermented kraut and I genuinely cannot eat a restaurant meal without it. The jacket has a new permanent resident.
Raw. Living. Highly probiotic. Oak barrel fermented, organic Australian ingredients.

Here's something no one's talking about with probiotics 👀
Liquids travel further and faster into your gastrointestinal tract than solids. A peer-reviewed study measured liquid and solid gastric emptying simultaneously — liquid emptied from the stomach significantly more rapidly, following an exponential curve compared to a linear one for solids.
That means a probiotic gut shot seeds your gut more deeply and faster than sauerkraut alone — and faster than any capsule that has to dissolve first.
Most people focus on the bacteria count. The smarter focus is how far it actually travels.

Your probiotic pill is probably dead before you swallow it 👀
A peer-reviewed study tested 11 probiotic supplements from pharmacies and supermarkets. Only 2 matched their label. After passing through simulated stomach acid, most lost up to 99.99% of their bacteria before reaching the gut.
Wild-fermented sauerkraut doesn't have that problem. The bacteria in real fermented food evolved to survive acid — that's literally what fermentation produces.
Billions of live probiotics per serve. Real food. No capsule.

Part 5 Coles Kraut Check — the final verdict 🥬
Four Coles fermented products tested. Here's the summary:
❌ Marco sauerkraut $4.50 — dead. Heat-treated.

❌ The Kimchi Company $7.10 — imported, added sugar, chemical veggies.

❌ Keep It Cleaner $9 — plastic, hole in the lid, chemical veggies, sugar.
So which one would I buy?
None of them. I'll stick to this 👇
Watch the end of the video for the lid pop 😏

Coles Kraut Check part 4.5 of4 👀 Keep It Cleaner kimchi — $9
Remember the "airlock" lid from Part 4? I let it sit for a couple more days and tested it properly.
Here's the problem: squeeze the tub and gas escapes — good. But the moment you let go, air gets sucked straight back in through the same hole. That's not an airlock. That's just a hole.
A real airlock lets CO2 out without letting outside air back in. This doesn't do that.
And the Coles fridge it was sitting in? Smelt like kimchi. That's where your "airlock" is venting to — and pulling back from.
Not a fan. Full series recap coming 🥬

Coles Kraut Check Part 4 of 4: Keep It Cleaner kimchi — $9 👀
This one has an airlock lid — actually designed for fermentation, so CO2 can escape. It's stored in plastic, it uses chemical sprayed veggies,
But at $9 (the most expensive of the lot), the taste says it's only been fermenting for a few days. That's the problem.
Most expensive. Least fermented.
Recap of all 3 Coles products dropping soon 🥬 Follow the series.
