What a fantastic day celebrating the communities that make our industry so special.

Sunshine Sugar was proud to take part in the Cane Harvest Festival Parade, joining local families, growers, businesses and community groups in a celebration of the rich history and spirit of the Clarence Valley.

From the cane fields to the mills, the sugar industry has been part of the fabric of this region for generations. Events like these are a wonderful reminder of the people, traditions and connections that continue to shape our communities today.

Thank you to everyone who cheered from the sidelines, helped bring the float to life and made the day such a memorable celebration.

Here's to another successful Clarence Harvest Celebration and the communities that make it all possible.

On World Environment Day, we recognise the importance of protecting the natural resources that support our industry and regional communities.

Across the Northern Rivers, sustainability is woven into every stage of the sugar journey. From responsible farming practices and water stewardship to renewable energy generation and circular production systems.

Sunshine Sugar is proud to be Bonsucro Certified Sustainable, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement and responsible production.

By making use of every part of the sugarcane plant, including using bagasse to help generate renewable energy, we are helping build a more sustainable future while supporting Australian grown and made sugar.

Because caring for the environment today helps ensure a stronger industry for generations to come.

It takes a community...and we are so lucky to have the incredible Clarence Cane community showcasing our local sugar industry and bringing magic to the town for the Harvest Festival.

For Helen McFarlane, the sugar industry has always been more than farming.

It is community, friendship and a way of life shaped by generations connected to the land and each other.

After being part of the industry since 1968, her message to young girls is simple. Believe in what you can do. Work hard, back yourself and never let doubt hold you back.

Because with heart, determination and resilience, anything is possible.
