At the age of 6, I decided I wanted to be a nurse. I never wavered from this and over 48 years ago I put on my white cap, my new fob watch and walked onto my first ward petrified. I survived .

I had to say goodbye to my wonderful career last month because life is throwing me a different challenge.
And it was time too.

I’ll be ‘out of the office ’ for a little while to face this new challenge so may be even quieter on here for a while.
