Meet our latest Sauvage Orange, dedicated to the expressive nature of art and w**e.
Like art, w**emaking at Krinklewood is an embodiment of heart and soul, allowing nature to truly express itself. This w**e-art connection has been beautifully exemplified by well-renowned Indonesian artist, , the talent behind our latest Sauvage label.Â
Rizzâs artwork encapsulates an idyllic ecosystem, where plants, animals and humans live harmoniously and free of harm, flourishing in natureâs balance. He depicts our trademark bull as the focus, representing the key role of the bullâs horns in fertilising our vineyards naturally, to produce our delicious w**es. It prompts us to treat our choices as our legacy, and to consider: âWhat shall we do with Eternity?â
Sauvage Orange captures the âcosmoirâ of Krinklewood, our unique terrestrial and cosmic signature. Beginning with a love of the fields, our 2023 Orange was made with 100% Organic and Biodynamic Gewurztraminer grapes, hand-picked from Krinklewood Estate. Crafted using traditional techniques â foot-stomped, fermented on skins, and gently basket-pressed â revealing an enchanting aroma of dry rose petals, fairy floss, and tangerine. On the palate, notes of orange rind, tangerine, and subtle hints of clove and ginger come to life.Â
Rizz is a multidisciplinary artist from Indonesia, specialising in sculpture, painting, and ceramics. His first Australian solo show, âSome Kinda Loveâ, begins tomorrow, presented by .Â
âThrough depictions of animals, symbols, female figures, vases, flowers and poetry in soft colours and rough and wild brush strokes, Rizzâs work offers an intimate look inside his feelings and life experiences full of drama, trauma, tragedy, and comedy all wrapped into one satirical work.âÂ
