Gold Silver and Bronze for our cheeses, butter and yoghurt at the just announced Perth Royal Show Perth Royal Food Awards. Particularly proud of GOLD again for Caerphilly and SILVER for our newest product, Butta BOOM! Shout out to Henty Brook Dairy for their amazing Jersey milk that makes our dairy products possible. President of the Western Australia Royal Agricultural Society Anne Stroud was on hand to present awards. Congrats also to Cambray Cheese
for their championship trophies (two years running) this year for their washed rind Brie and to Bon Bonbon chocolatiers for their trophy in the Chocolate competition. Friday Night Farm Shop Update!

Twice is nice. And this picture David posted last Saturday morning is getting a second outing tonight because it is definitely nice enough for twice.

Besides, cabbage and broc will be in the shop tomorrow along with beetroot, celery, lettuce, eggplant, fennel, carrots, beans, snow peas, English spinach, corn (some),
pumpkin and chillies (brrrr, yes it is cold outside). Cheese, yoghurt, butter in the dairy aisle and samples of a new product we’ve been working on: a pot set cousin of our Extra Greek made with skim milk, so naturally less fat.

Friday Night Farm Shop Update!

This week we’re full of beans!

Chef Caleb’s latest recipe features beans (both colours) tossed in a lovely vinaigrette with lemon and garlic. Yes, there will be samples in the shop tomorrow for tasting. Yes, recipes too.

Other veggies making an appearance this week: sweet corn (you thought you’d seen the last of it), beetroot, silver beet, celery, pumpkin, chilis, eggplant, Jerusalem artichoke, green capsicum, snow peas. And beans!

In the dairy section: cheese (including halloumi), some butter and yoghurt. Scones, jam and cream on the sideboard.

Now serving at Brugan on their new winter menu Melville Park Major Tomme Fondue. Our Major Tomme is a lower fat cheese made in tandem with our butter (where the rest of the fat goes). It's a classic Alpine style that evolved with butter making. And it is made for melting! Thanks Brugan for including it in your newest menu. And by the way your pizza today was delish!

Friday Night Farm Shop Update!

They say (whomever ‘they’ are), ‘A picture is worth a thousand words’. We say, this picture can be summed up in one:

YUM!!!!!

Chef Caleb Thomas’ beautiful Roasted Artichoke Soubise with Winter Vegetables. Inspired by what Catie’s got growing in the garden and brought to you with a bit of Brunswick flare. Yes, there will be tasting samples tomorrow along with the recipe and the chef!

Also tomorrow: grab your own Jerusalem artichokes for roasting or souping. Also: beetroot, eggplant, pumpkin, carrots, beans, silver beet, English spinach, lettuces, garlic, fennel and a few odds and ends.

Cheeses, yoghurt and butter in the dairy section, Winterbrook eggs — not in the dairy section — over by the scones, jam and cream on the sideboard along with tea and coffee from our friends at Groundswell.

Roasted beetroot, eggplant and Jerusalem artichokes on a velvety artichoke soubise with warm focaccia. - Chef Caleb Thomas created this dish for us after I spoke to him about the abundance of Jerusalem artichokes and the need for a rich winter dish featuring them. We will have the recipe for you, ingredients to purchase and better yet, a little tasting plate on Saturday at the Farm Shop. 9-noon 13070 SouthWestern Highway, Brunswick Junction - See you then.
