New paddock day for the crew!

Everyone seems pretty happy with the move… except Noodles and Smooch, who are currently convinced the stream is an uncrossable obstacle. The same stream they had in their previous paddock..

We’ll let you know if they ever figure it out.

Even though they cause me grief daily.. we still look after them..

Waiting for their John phoenix appointment to continue their treatment after they were both on board during a small float incident.

A riding agistment position has become available at Oak Tree View.

Designed for owners who want the confidence of knowing their horse is being cared for every day, while still having full access to ride, train and enjoy their horse.

Options include:
• Shared or private paddocks
• Twice-daily feeding
• Rugging management
• Appointment coordination and holding for farrier, vet, dentist and bodyworkers
• Daily horse monitoring
• Access to all riding facilities

Located in Brunswick Junction, WA.

2020 vs 2026

Some days I look around and all I can see is what still needs doing. The jobs unfinished, the upgrades still to come, the fences, yards and projects on the list.

Then winter arrives and reminds me how far we’ve come.

This place hasn’t always looked like this after heavy rain.

The first photo was 2020. The second is today.

Years of earthworks, drainage, gravel, machinery, planning, mistakes, lessons, and a whole lot of hard work have gone into creating what Oak Tree View is now.

Our paddocks hold up through winter. Water moves where it’s supposed to. Grass keeps growing. Horses stay safer, drier and healthier. Come spring, those same paddocks help grow the feed that carries us through summer.

So this WA Day, I’m taking a moment to appreciate Western Australia, this farm, our neighbours, friends, family and everyone who has helped make it possible.

Some of our upgrades might take longer than people expect, but that’s because we’re not building for next week.

We’re building a property that gets better every year.

Driveway almost cleared

That storm was crazy!

Other than some branches that were obviously overdue for trimming, we come out pretty good and the horse paddocks are dry and safe

Driveway and laneways are being cleaned, and we are all back to business as usual.

How did you all go?

While the weather rolls through, we’re grateful for seven years of drainage and earthworks. Dry paddocks and accessible laneways mean horses can stay comfortable and we can safely continue checks throughout the storm. That’s the sort of infrastructure you don’t appreciate until you need it.
