Has anyone tried adding Holy Basil to pickles before? 🪻🌿🫙

While making a batch of pickled vegetables with our homemade mango vinegar, I had a spontaneous idea to toss in some Holy Basil flowers and leaves.

What a surprise! The tangy vinegar paired beautifully with the cooling, minty notes of Holy Basil.

Definitely one of those happy accidents worth repeating. 😋

Would you try it?

International Herb Day: Rooted in Tulsi 🌿

👑 Plants have a beautiful way of grounding us. This Herb Day, we are celebrating the Sacred Tulsi—the "Queen" of our fields.

🪻 Revered for centuries, Tulsi is a restorative powerhouse. It works with your body to ease stress and restore clarity, acting as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern wellness.

🫶 Grown in our soil, harvested by hand, and delivered to your ritual. This is pure, farm-grown potency.

Tell us: What herb are you leaning on today? 🍵✨

Spread gently, layer by layer.

Sunlight moves across the leaves,
the breeze turning them ever so slightly. ☀️🍃

A soft floral note rises—
not strong, just enough to notice if you slow down.

It stays in the space,
and quietly follows on your hands.

This is Holy Basil (Tulsi) — the queen of herbs.
Naturally rich in eugenol and antioxidants, long known for its calming, restorative qualities.

Every batch is unique,
because the day is different.

And that’s the beauty of it. 💜💚

Even in the driest stretch of the season, our turmeric stands lush and vibrant — deep green leaves holding moisture, strength, and life under the Bundaberg sun. ☀️

Similar to Holy Basil (Tulsi), turmeric is a cornerstone botanical in Ayurvedic herbal tradition, used for centuries to nourish the body and restore balance through daily rituals like tea. 🍃

Turmeric Root 🪵
Warm, earthy, gently spiced.
Traditionally enjoyed to:
• support digestion after meals
• ease feelings of body stiffness and inflammation
• promote circulation and warmth
• provide antioxidant support for everyday vitality

Turmeric Leaves & Flowers 🌿
Fresh, green, softly aromatic.
Often used for:
• calming the nervous system
• gentle gut comfort
• creating a smooth, easy-to-drink herbal base

Holy Basil (Tulsi) 🪻
Sweet, peppery, strong floral aroma.
Loved as a daily tonic to:
• help the body cope with stress
• settle a busy mind
• support immunity during seasonal change
• bring a sense of grounding and clarity

When Blended Together 🧡💜
Turmeric warms the body from within, while Holy Basil softens and steadies the mind.
The cup feels comforting, earthy, and gently uplifting — perfect in the late afternoon, after meals, or whenever the body asks to slow down.

Simple Steps to Blend Your Own 🫖
• 1 teaspoon dried turmeric leaf
• 1 teaspoon dried holy basil
• a few thin slices (or a pinch) of dried turmeric root
Steep in hot water for 5-7 minutes.

The aroma opens first — green, warm, and slightly spiced — then settles into a smooth, grounding cup that invites you to take another sip.

Grown, harvested, and packed on our farm, where herbal tea begins in the soil and ends in the cup. 🍵

It’s been a little quiet here lately, but we haven’t really stopped.

This holiday, alongside time with family and friends, we’ve been busy out on the land — harvesting mangoes, laying irrigation lines, planting new holy basil seedlings, tweaking and testing our distillation methods, and, of course, endless weeding. 👩‍🌾🥭🌱

Life feels a lot like this — always moving, rarely still. Much like the seasons: one cycle slows down and rests, while another quietly begins to grow.

Autumn is here. Can you feel it? 🍂
The cooler mornings and calmer evenings, the easing heat, and the grass starting to fade from green to gold. It’s the kind of weather that calls for a warm cup of holy basil tea, or a little oil rolled onto your wrists or temples. Sink into the sofa, take a deep breath, and enjoy the pause. 😌☕️

“Who stole our pram?”
Oh… there you are 😄

Turns out it’s been borrowed for a holy basil harvest.
After weeks of dry days, the rain finally came — cool, cleansing, just in time!
The farm breathed again. Fresh, green, alive with bees everywhere. 🌤️🌿🪻🐝

Today we’re harvesting holy basil for a new batch of Tulsi tea.
This dry season has done something special — the aroma feels deeper and more concentrated than ever.

Time flies. Our little man turned 10 months old. 🩵
Full of energy, sitting nearby, watching closely, taking it all in as we work.

Saw and scissor snipping, a short burst of cutting noises, then everything is laid out to dry.
Nothing rushed. Just letting it be what it needs to be.

Small batch, handmade, carefully selected — each step filled with love and warmth.
We can’t wait to share this one with you. 🫶
