Epostres in Europe pt. 2 🇬🇧

Stop number two at was the incredible 🤤

I had a lovely chat with Nigel about living gluten free and running a gluten free baking business. He and his wife started Ma Ma Boutique around 4 years ago, and now have both a market stall AND a shopfront, which is honestly so inspiring!

I didn’t get the chance to visit their bakery in Chiswick this time, but I did try a few of their bakes at the market including a giant cinnamon scroll, a blueberry bun, and a baked potato dumpling 😍

I must say, I LOVED seeing savoury options on offer! It’s definitely got me thinking, maybe Epostres could do some savoury options as well. What do we think? 🤔

One thing I really appreciated was how upfront Nigel was about their baking. Everything is gluten free and they don’t use oats, which was such a relief for me as someone who hasn’t done the oat challenge and avoids oats while travelling.

I love connecting with other gluten free business owners, especially when their "why" is so similar to mine 🥹

Hoping I get the chance to visit their shopfront later in the trip but for now, on to our next stop! ✈️

Epostres in Europe pt. 1 🇬🇧

Visited in London over the weekend and came across not one, but TWO gluten free bakery stalls 😍

The first was , a fully gluten free bakery with lots of dairy free options too. I picked up a few treats including a Battenberg and a Bakewell tart, and I’ve been loving trying all the British desserts over here 🤤
Already feeling inspired to recreate some of these in my own kitchen when we’re back!

I also randomly ran into one of my customers at this exact stall 😂
The chances of seeing someone you know, in another country, at a gluten free market stall (which is how we met in the first place!!) is actually wild.
At least we’re consistent in supporting gluten free businesses!

One thing I didn’t realise before coming to the UK - unlike Australia, oats here can be labelled gluten free if they’re free from cross-contact.
As someone who hasn’t done the oat challenge, I’ve been super cautious about anything with oats, especially not worth risking it while travelling with a baby 😅

BUT the second stall I found (next post 👀) doesn’t use oats at all… and you already know I had to try it 🤭

I don’t even know where to begin…

Epostres has been quiet for a little while, and for the most beautiful reason 🤍
I stepped away to embrace a completely new chapter of life, becoming a mum to a beautiful baby girl.

While my days now look very different (and with a lot less sleep 😅), one thing hasn’t changed… my love for creating desserts that bring people joy.

So this is me, slowly finding my way back into the kitchen.
Back to what started it all. Back to Epostres.

We are officially coming out of maternity leave 🎉

Thank you for being here, for your patience, and for sticking with me through this new chapter. It truly means more than you know.

Another family birthday cake… and this one really humbled me.

Chocolate cake with dulce de leche mousse 🤎

It tasted incredible, but the finish didn’t quite match the vision, and honestly, that’s been a bit of a reality check lately.

Working with a baby has completely changed how I create in the kitchen. Between feeds, naps, and constant interruptions, perfection just isn’t realistic right now. Everything just takes a little (or a lot!) longer.

This isn’t a cake I’d serve to a customer, but it is a reflection of this season. And I'm learning to be okay with that.

Still, 4 layers of chocolatey goodness and one of my favourite flavours I’ve made in a while 🤎

Proof that things don’t have to look perfect to be really, really good!

If you're in a time in your life where your best looks different, this is your reminder that it's still enough 🤍

I haven’t posted in a while… just new baby things 🥹😅

Still on maternity leave, but I had to make a cake for the family birthday cake challenge!

2025 has truly been the biggest and most beautiful year of our lives, both personally and professionally.

It feels surreal to say that Epostres only began a year and a half ago. The growth, the support, and the love we’ve received in such a short time has been nothing short of incredible. This year was full of change and challenge, from kicking things off with a whirlwind of back-to-back markets, to now slowing down completely and soaking up life on parental leave in our newborn bubble 🥰

Looking back, the pride and gratitude I feel is hard to put into words. What started as a small idea has grown into something far beyond anything I imagined. Watching it blossom into a dream is honestly unreal.

As much as I’m cherishing this precious time with my family, I already can’t wait to step back into the kitchen and start baking again. Next year is set to be even bigger, with new treats, fresh ideas, and more ways to serve this wonderful gluten free community.

Thank you, truly, to every single one of you for your support, encouragement, feedback, and constant positivity. Epostres exists because of you, and we are endlessly grateful, from the bottom of our hearts ❤️

Keep an eye out for what’s next… we promise it will be worth the wait!

Wow, what a week! I still can’t believe the response to our dessert delivery special 🥹 thank you to everyone who placed an order and made my final baking adventure before maternity leave so special ❣️

I’m absolutely exhausted, but seeing all your smiles during deliveries reminded me exactly why I started Epostres in the first place.

Finally home from the last of the deliveries, I'm sitting outside and soaking up a bit of sunshine after all that rain, with my mixed berry cheesecake and a cup of tea 🥰 My heart is so full.

I’ll still try to stay active on social media, but for now I’m looking forward to slowing down and soaking in these last moments before our baby arrives. Thank you all for the love and support, Epostres truly wouldn’t be here without you 💕

Next up on the family birthday cake challenge:

Pistachio & Avocado Cake, as requested by my dad 🥑

Naturally green bundt cake that turned out soft, nutty, not too sweet and full of colour! Just like he asked.

For the wow factor, I used fresh avocado to make this vibrant icing and topped it off with crushed pistachios. I added a hint of fresh orange to marry the flavours together.

Not only is this cake 100% Gluten Free, it is also Dairy Free and Low Carb!

When we say we try to cater for everyone, we really do mean it 🥰

For everyone who thought they couldn’t have a cinnamon scroll anymore… think again! 🎉

Gluten Free AND Dairy Free, these beauties definitely deserve a post of their own!

After years of experimenting with recipes and flour blends, we’ve finally created the perfect scrolls 🤩 Soft, squishy, and oh-so pull-apart worthy!

We’ve only had them at the markets for a month, and the demand and feedback has been incredible. Can’t wait to keep baking more of these delights for everyone who’s been missing out on this classic treat! 💛
