I had a lovely chat with Nigel about living gluten free and running a gluten free baking business. He and his wife started Ma Ma Boutique around 4 years ago, and now have both a market stall AND a shopfront, which is honestly so inspiring!
I didn’t get the chance to visit their bakery in Chiswick this time, but I did try a few of their bakes at the market including a giant cinnamon scroll, a blueberry bun, and a baked potato dumpling 😍
I must say, I LOVED seeing savoury options on offer! It’s definitely got me thinking, maybe Epostres could do some savoury options as well. What do we think? 🤔
One thing I really appreciated was how upfront Nigel was about their baking. Everything is gluten free and they don’t use oats, which was such a relief for me as someone who hasn’t done the oat challenge and avoids oats while travelling.
I love connecting with other gluten free business owners, especially when their "why" is so similar to mine 🥹
Hoping I get the chance to visit their shopfront later in the trip but for now, on to our next stop! ✈️
