Thank you to everyone who came to pick blueberries this summer.

We really appreciate your support and positive feedback, and the farm has had such a lovely happy vibe on all our picking days.

Thank you for taking such good care of our plants and property, it's been lovely to share our farm with you.

We will be offering our final session of Pick Your Own for the season, by booking only, this Saturday morning. We will be picking our heritage berries.

☀ 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: 10am - 12:30pm (or until picked out) ** 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐮𝐭 **

$20/kg (cash and card accepted).
Minimum pick of 1kg per booking.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤:

To place your booking, please send us a private Facebook message with:

🌿 The 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 in your group (max. 4 per group - if you have more than 4 we can book you in under separate groups).
We will send a message confirming your booking with your booking code prior to the day.

⭐ Please do not bring containers. We will provide buckets and containers on the day.

Then it's decision time!

⭐ If you plan to pick more than 1 kilogram: Select your bucket/s and head straight to the row to start picking! When finished go to the shed to weigh your berries and pay.

⭐ For those wishing to only pick the minimum of 1 kilogram: Head to the shed to prepay, collect your container and then to the row! As you will have already paid you can simply leave when finished.

A nice, relaxed morning of picking at the farm today with lovely people (from near and far!) and some happy dogs along as well.

An eagle-eyed visitor to the farm spotted this beautiful little nest with a frog sitting in it! 🐸🪹

We'll check the berries over the next few days and post an update next week, probably on Tuesday or Wednesday.

A few people have asked us for blueberry recipe recommendations and this is one of our favourites! This cake is absolutely delicious! 😍

🫐 🍋 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐑𝐘 & 𝐋𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐍 𝐂𝐀𝐊𝐄 🫐 🍋

INGREDIENTS

Cake:

1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
Zest of 1 lemon
1/3 cup plain yoghurt mixed with 4 teaspoons lemon juice (or more - we like ours very lemony)
1.5 cups plain flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 cups blueberries

Glaze:

2 teaspoons softened butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice

METHOD

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Grease a 20cm cake tin.

2. Place butter, sugar, egg and lemon zest in bowl and stir.

3. Stir in yoghurt mixture and flour, baking powder and salt. Add blueberries.

4. Spread batter in prepared pan and bake in the pre-heated oven for 40-45 minutes.

5. While the cake's cooking, make the glaze by heating all ingredients over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved.

6. Brush the glaze over the cake just before it's done - enjoy!
