After reading about the devastation of the recent Victorian bushfires on sheep farmers, SWSM Breeders got together and donated 15 young rams and 30 ewes to support recovery.
Victoria Farmers Federation livestock director Scott Young put the feelers out and put us in touch with Matthew Plunkett, who had sadly lost 6,000 of his 12,000 breeding ewes in the Longwood region.
They hit the road this week with the support of VFF donating money to cover the transport and Falls Transport finding room for them on a truck.
We wish Matt and all the farmers affected a fast road to recovery and we look forward to seeing the SheepMaster breed contributing in the region.
