We’re seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual to help with the day to day operation in our seedstock business and sheep operation.

Day to day responsibilities:
🌱Livestock handling in both cattle and sheep
🌱Working independently and part of a team
🌱General farm work
🌱Water supply and fencing maintenance
🌱Pasture renovation
🌱Operating farm machinery and equipment

What we’re looking for:
💫Strong work ethic, initiative and drive
💫Enjoys working as part of a team
💫Reliable and willing to learn
💫Stock handling skills

Our team is excited with the expansion and progress of our agricultural business, and therefore we are offering a new position to be filled.

🏠 Housing is available on the property for the right person
💰 Salary is negotiable based on experience
🐕 Working dogs preferable but not essential

The WDCA has supported the Macarthur and District Royal Childrens Hospital Good Friday Appeal for many years. Since 2024 Jo and Alec Moore of Weeran Angus have committed their campdraft sponsorship to the RCH Appeal by donating $10 for every gate completed on Saturday at our campdraft as "Gates for the Kids". We are thrilled to announce that you (our competitors) completed 81 gates and we have been able to donate $810! Sincere thanks to Weeran Angus for supporting our club in such a special way and 'doing it for the kids' 👏🫶

And just like that another bull sale ticked off! Thank you to all buyers, underbidders, agents, friends and family that supported the Weeran team in the lead up to the sale and on the day.

There was great atmosphere and lots of spirited bidding. We were all extremely happy with the way we presented the bulls and the feedback was exceptional.

A huge thank you to our Weeran team and helpers on the day. It takes a big effort to present the bulls the way we do and to run the auction. Thank you to Brady Hicks, the Capital Livestock & Property team and guest auctioneer Brian Leslie.

69/72 bulls sold for a top of $35k to Dulverton Angus, Glen Innes & Sylvester Cattle Company, Nundle, purchasing Lot 38 VHW24V245. The second top price was Lot 2 VHW24V70 sold for $23k to Texas Angus, Warialda. We had an overall average of $10,465 with bulls on their way to SA, NSW and across Victoria.

We have been busy preg testing our Spring herd over the last couple of days with very pleasing results! Overall preg test result of 91.4% for the herd including 90% conception in 210 naturally joined heifers. Lots 1-8 in our Autumn catalogue were used in this joining and they did their job so well! 💪🏼

Only 5 more sleeps until our Bull Sale on Tuesday 24th February.
