For the first time, the Australian Horticulture Statistics Handbook will include regional-level data – giving industry access to more localised, accurate insights about production and markets across Australia.

To make this happen, Hort Innovation and Freshlogic (now part of Kynetec) need your input!

They’re asking growers to complete a quick 3–5 minute survey to help fine-tune regional yield estimates and make sure the data reflects what’s really happening on the ground.

🙌As a thank you, every grower who completes the survey will receive a free snapshot of wholesale and retail market pricing for your nominated crop category from the past month.

This update to the Handbook marks a huge step forward in providing more useful, locally relevant data to help growers, researchers, and industry plan for the future.

The NRWC is building a national photo archive with the theme, In Her Boots, showcasing the strength, resilience, and leadership of women across rural, regional, and remote (RRR) Australia.

Show us through your lens women doing what they love, in the places they live and work. Whether it’s coaching a soccer team, working the land, running a classroom, or leading change — we want to see it!

You're also invited to reflect through your photographs the changing natural environment that RRR women experience. From droughts to floods, we welcome images that show how women are adapting to and responding to the impacts of climate change in their communities.

Most "fresh" food travels thousands of kilometres to be sorted, divvied up and, in some cases, sent back to the place it came from — at huge cost to farmers and shoppers. But some new options are starting to sprout.
