About Us
BREEDING ~ SALES ~ RACING Basham Thoroughbreds is a family owned & operated farm located in the southern riverina district of Wakool, 50kms west of Deniliquin, NSW. Close by the Victorian border (Echuca, Swan Hill). The farm is approx 6500 acres with the horses being part of our mixed farming enterprise consisting of rice & cereal cropping, sheep & cattle. With the farm being on the Yallakool Creek & the Wakool river, along with having 2 ground water bores, it is of prime irrigation enabling us to produce a high percentage of quality pasture, grain & fodder. We offer breeding services to our resident stallion STRYKER & sales preparation for the weanling & yearling sales. We also have a small number of our own racehorses, trained by local trainers.
