The list of amazing veggies I have grown in Cambooya is huge..A Year round, seasonal food bank that never stops giving. The black soil here is simply perfect for growing in, and with years of healthy, organic material going back into it, it is a sustainable entity that enables self sufficiency in every season. Yeah, it took some work, a lot of work, but the result is never buying veggies.....
It's been around 16 years since my microfarm started its journey, at first in North Queensland, but I never could imagine just how unbelievable this Cambooya black soil has been..maybe the farmer had a bit to do with it as well 😉
As with all journeys, they inevitably reach a conclusion, and I am very sad to say that my time here at Wyndella is almost up..Life moves on in unexpected ways and it's now time for a change that will shortly take me away from my beloved microfarm.....
Cheers to everyone who has supported me for so long...I hope I can continue growing in some fashion, would be a shame to waste such a green thumb....I hope that the next person to come across this little patch of black gold realises it's potential and ability to change their lifestyle....look after the patch...it will look after you...
Cheers always
Geoff
