I started researching about bees and found them to be extremely intriguing. I have been a hobby beekeeper for 5 years and I have set up a few hives on the family property where we have resided for over 45 years. My family has had a long connection with Samford Valley with my grandfather having dairy farms from the 1940’s. I have bees now in a couple of locations throughout the valley which adds to

the colour and flavours of the honey. You will note significant colour and taste changes throughout the year as the flora changes with the seasons. My three boys and my niece share my love for the bees and now have designated painted hives that they work, including collecting the honey frames, processing the honey and bottling for your enjoyment. They also enjoy making bees wax candles - this is a hobby in progress but the smell of the candle wax is amazing. Come and collect a jar, thee is an honesty box beside the honey but don’t worry if you haven’t got cash, message me for bank details. Tubs - $20
