Not all of our Hillcrest Farm Loddon Valley produce stays on the farm.

Today marked the start of our newest collaboration with following a successful trial last season.

First up — a beautiful haul of Dutch medlars, heading off to be transformed into their much-loved liqueur, which sold out last year.

And as for the kumquats… Liz has something very special planned. We can’t tell you just yet, but we can say this — we cannot wait to try it. 🍊

Farm grown, locally crafted, and a little bit exciting.

There’s something very special about little hands in the garden that takes you straight back to precious time spent with your own grand parents.

The grandkids helped gather the last of the season before winter settles in — pomegranates, quinces, rhubarb, green tomatoes and the final baby sweet capsicums.

Full baskets, muddy boots, “just one more”, and the kind of memories that feel like your own childhood all over again.

Maybe one day, this will be the afternoon they remember too. ❤️

Lambing season has arrived at Hillcrest Farm Loddon Valley, and these warm autumn days are giving our newest little arrivals the best possible start.

Tiny legs, proud mums, quiet paddocks, autumn sunshine and that farm magic that makes you stop for a minute and smile.

Whatever makes you happy… for us, it’s moments like this.

We couldn’t see the forest for the trees… so Gary did something about it!

A few peppercorn branches later and we’ve finally got clear access to the tank where we store the wood — just in time for the frosty days ahead.

Wood stacked.
Bark and trimmings burning off.
Path cleared.

Autumn is the season to gather, prepare and get things in order at Hillcrest Farm. 🍂🔥

And as for the tune … the algorithm served up Old Man. We’re choosing not to read too much into that 😄
