Congratulations to Western Victoria’s 2026 Milk Quality Award recipients! A fantastic showing from our region, with plenty of local farmers among this year’s Gold and Silver. See the list of award winners below.

200 dairy farms have a new diamond for their farm gate. 💎

The 2026 Australian Milk Quality Awards are in, celebrating the farmers behind some of the best milk in the country.

Run by Dairy Australia since 2002, award winners are chosen on Bulk Milk Cell Count (BMCC), a measure of udder health and milking management, with gold diamonds awarded to the 100 farms with the lowest BMCCs, and silver to those in the lowest five percent. Congratulations to every winner - who put in the work every milking, all year round.

The WestVic Dairy Board invites expressions of interest for two Board positions: one farmer director and one skills-based director.

WestVic Dairy works with farmers, industry and partners to support a strong, innovative and sustainable dairy region in Western Victoria. Directors are responsible for the strategic direction and governance of the organisation and bring regional insight and industry experience to Board decision-making.

The two incumbent Directors are eligible for a further term and have indicated their intention to stand for re-election.
