South Belconnen Girl Guides

South Belconnen Girl Guides The District operates from the Ginninderra Guide Hall on Walhallow Street, Hawker. The District has a number of units catering to girls of different ages.

The District covers suburbs from Aranda to Holt. Girls are welcome from other suburbs

Woo Hoo the Leaders are back on top for the Annual Quiz night 2026.... with some of the hardest questions ever! The girls did an amazing job of writing a wide ranging variety of questions which lead to a really interesting night.

We had a lovely Anzac Day sleepover - making poppies and wreaths, getting up early to watch the Dawn Service, laying our wreaths at the flagpole, and raising the flag on our newly repaired flagpole (thanks Liz and Les Hickey), gunfire breakfast (sans rum), making flying machines, tin can telephones, Anzac biscuits, planting poppy seedlings in our garden beds, playing two up (no gambling though), writing letters to our sisters in Guiding in New Zealand and making the best scrambled eggs ever!!

Did you know Guiding has been going in Canberra since 1927! Come and see our Guiding history - badges, camp blankets, uniforms, old photos, log books and a whole lot of other interesting Guiding things to look at.

If you come to visit the display it will help YOU with Guide badges, JBP, BP, QG, Explore a Challenge, and world guiding history.
