Rosnay was established by the Statham family at Canowindra, NSW, in 1996, and since 2000 the farm has been a source of many fine organic wines and olive products. Richard and Florence Statham began the project in 1995, and when they found the property in 1996 they named it Rosnay, after Florence's grandfather, Alberic Dulong de Rosnay, who had a vineyard in the French Beaujolais. Florence is an artist, and her passion for art has rubbed off not only on her children but also on the business.

Join us to celebrate Vanuatu's 46 years of Independence with Sael, Florence and "The Boys" who work on Canowindra's farms, next Thursday afternoon, from 2pm, through into early evening. Try traditional food, hear traditional songs, and drink some kava. A free event, we only ask for a donation to the School Library building fund, and a dish to share.

The biggest old majestic yellow box eucalypt tree on the farm is 7 metres in circumfrance at the base. It was probably here before Captain Cook was born. We had to bulldoze a few trees before planting vineyards and olive groves but we also planted about 8000 native trees and shrubs, including yellow box. Nice to know some of them may look like this centuries after we are gone.
