Well folks, all good things must come to an end.

After many years of very busy activity Dorothy and I have decided it is time to retire, therefore Tablelands Premier Meats (which ceased red meat species in December last year) has now finally ceased all processing and we have allowed our DPI abattoir licence to expire as we have been unable to find a buyer for the operations.

We thank all loyal customers, friends and staff for their support through all the years of activity in farmers markets, butchery and general abattoir services.

So now starts a new chapter in our lives and we look forward to enjoying the fruits of our labour.

We had a visit from a group of South Korean beef farmers led by Professor Sangsoo Sun of Chonnam National University, Department of Animal Science this Wednesday. They were interested in looking at our high volume beef production on small acreage with supplemental forage nutrients. They were very impressed with our use of tillage radish and leafy turnip in a direct drill process. They also had a full abattoir tour and were treated with a western lunch with Asian twist including kimchi!! This was the second visit from South Korean delegations and the 5th international tour groups studying micro-abattoir activities that we have hosted. Isn't it good to be internationally recognised for excellence.
