Dahlia seeds germinating. I’ve got a few weird and wonderful ones that I can’t wait to meet when they bloom… one that I’m calling Black Orchid or Zulu. It’s a dark blood red and purple black spikey hellish crazy weird and just-up-my-alley kind of bloom. Very different. Very very different 🤣🤣🤣… embrace the weirdness! Also.. the dahlias will go SOOOO much better up here on the granite belt. Famous area for dahlias with many famous growers already here for generations. My dear friends Holly, Bec and Justin Everbloom are up the road. My overflow of dahlias is being agisted at family farm Budburst which is fun. I’m thinking of starting a range of dahlias that I’ve been working on. What should I call them? Pretty Produce may not work. I live in Burton Crescent. Maybe “Burton” series? Like “Burton” Black Orchid? “Burton” Zulu? “Burton” daisy girl? Burton Rosemarie. Would love your thoughts?

Dahlias… summer… fun and games. My dahlia seeds are happily germinating in the quickened pace of the heat. I’m going to sort through my tubers and select a handful to stay and play.. whilst the rest will go live out on the family farm Budburst Australia .. where Ellen and Justin building a big paddock full of blooms for the next few years. The two new tanks ( 23K litres each) are ready for the start of storm season proper. With this heat.. shouldn’t be long. Here’s looking forward to invigorating late afternoon thunder and lightening with down pours of life giving rain. Cake credit - halo__horns

Are you after strict and reliable specifications regarding colour - vibe - “look” when you are searching for for your clients? Cakes By Nola was after a specific colour brief… I supplied it. I love that she sent a stunner of a cake by my friend Halo & Horns Cakes as an inspo and you wouldn’t be surprised by how many of Kat’s cake creation pics get sent to me! 🤯🤯🤯🙌 This is my super power - my specialty is to match as close as possible with what I grow, pick and press from my patches. It’s so much fun matching the to the brief for or .. bit of a hair raising wait for the business owner hoping like hell that I know what I’m doing 🤣🤣🤩🤩🥳🥳🥰🥰😎😎😁😁💋

My greenhouse, my seedlings, my tools, my wood (🤣.. ❄️🩵❄️) ….. my gardens are going to doubled in volume coming next week. I’ve got two 22,750L tanks being delivered to add to my current 35,000 tank capture… and I’ve got a wonderful chap Simon, and his consort to do the earthworks and plumbing… they will bring all of this crazy arse plan together. I’ve ordered rare roses, unusual blossoming trees, new edible shrubs plus beautiful seeds from Veggie + Flower Garden Seeds and Royston Petrie Seeds . It’s SOOOOO creative and wonderful. Soon it will explode into spring and I’ll show case what I’ve planted and how I’ve intensively planted each of my showcase of arty_plants_ for creative purposes. 🌸🩷🌸 ahhh… life is heaven on earth but you have to plant the seeds and build the gardens of this heavenly realm with your attitude, your heart and soul.

Bon's Bakes grabbed some of my little pressed cards from Etsy Au - PrettyProduceShop. This is what the coverage looks like from an A5 card and this is what you can achieve. For any other requirements, please contact me or dm here. Spring will start with a BANG ‼️ being a El Niño non the less. I’ve got so many flower seeds in. I’ve got earthworks starting on the 10th of August to erase lawn and pack in growing beds. Who said you can’t make your own destiny. Even if it’s not a farm.. it’s going to grow enough to rival one here at my double house block at the top of town. Im expanding out to market stalls also this year starting with the Stanthorpe Gardenfest in October. I will have my plants ready to go!

Today’s adventures to find treasures in the bush… or on a railway crossing bank 🤣🤣🤣😁… roses are now settled in abd I finally get to see their potential as they DID NOT like the clay at Canungra… here they have enriched granite loamy sandy soil with heaps of compost over the years 💪🙌💪 …… got some new members of the edible flower family coming into my patch which I’m super like little kid at Christmas excited… anyone grown Deutzia?? . Others are Flowers that I’ve researched that are usable in food applications and also perennials. Win:win. Some of them I will reveal as I go.
