When I first started farming, I thought success would mean seeing my avocados on the shelves of major supermarkets. I quickly learned that I couldn’t have been further from the truth. My biggest achievement, aside from the enormous learning curve of becoming a farmer, has been creating a business that allows me to grow beautiful, regenerative, spray-free avocados and sell them directly from farm to kitchen. Rather than focusing on volume, I’ve focused on building genuine connections—with small produce businesses across the Southwest, restaurants that prioritise local produce, and farmers markets that bring fresh food directly into the community.
🏆 For me, success is no longer about seeing my avocados in a supermarket. It’s about knowing exactly where my food is going, who is eating it, and building a sustainable, connected local food system where farmers, small businesses, restaurants and communities all support one another.
