Craft Works Distillery Inner Circle Post.

So right now it feels like the tide is going out and a tsunami is building when I think what is coming at me in June.
I AM… taking a deep breathe as here I go …June 1st 2026.

1) Two BOC ( Barrel Oak Club ) at 2 new locations with Goblin Wine Shop in Marrickville & Manufactor in Penrith.
2) A big distilling run, a week of distilling.
3) Launch of 2026 vintage of I AM… BEER Stout.
4) The Central West distillery Chris Greta tour.
5) Whisky on the Murray at Corowa Distilling Co.
6) Launch of Smoke Juice batch 2.
7) Launch of Danger from Above.
8.)A whole week Whisky Capital various events in Canberra.
9 Long weekend markets, Mudgee , Portland and Blue Mountains.
10) Final prep and bottling I AM… a Thinking Man’s Rum our first ever rum.
11) Start work on the next Craft Works X Karu collab project.
12) Start work on the Craft Works X Dusty Barrel collab project Mainlander.
13) Prepare to collect my Smoke Juice batch 3.
14) Finalise my Central West Farmers X Craft Work collab potato project and trial plan.
15) Finally release FARKED.
16) Finalise designs and project scope for Bootleggers, Toro, No Burn, Protect our Design, Redacted on.
17) Aussie Craft Distillers Worts & All.
18) Finally release Craft Works X Riverbourne VATMAN Rising release.

Craft Works Distillery Inner Circle Post

So… I have always said my distillery is my creative platform and seriously distilling is such a small part of what I do.
For me distilling is a part of the whole creative process and for me producing spirits is a way to express my creativity and not a lot of Aussie distillers see this way and that’s ok.

Turning 62 has given me a new level of freedom to do what I do and no question, I AM… not everyone’s cup of tea and that’s exactly the way I want it.

So…I AM… about to embark on a new journey on the 10 year road so far of Craft Works and it’s the final chapter of Craft Works and it’s exciting pulling in a lot of elements of who I AM… including making Aussie craft spirits , art , music, philosophy, life , friendship and the human condition.

I always said , my distillery is my creative platform but I AM… about to be given a stage and you are all invited to the performance and some great Aussie booze as well.

Sat night in the shed, chilled out after long market day and now listening to The xx and working on a vatting project and also pulling some samples of my very special Armagnac cask as a work in progress tasting for the Thurs Barrel Oak Club ( BOC) where Amber Lane & Craft Works share our whiskies , stories in relaxed conversation with like minded whisky friends from the Sydney whisky community.

Tonight , no warning, no advertising, no plan.

Soft launch of Craft Works Distillery first ever single cask Rum cask release our beautiful collaboration project with JQUEs Alamod and tonight he is hosting an event at his Hometown Cafe in Lithgow.
Matcha party , DJ, food , booze and fun.

It will be epic.
So Lithgow, Bathurst, Rydal, Orange, Katoomba, Kandos, Mudgee and Capertee get your ass to an epic Matcha party starting in 3 minutes till late.

You can taste it , buy it and mixing up some wicked fancy I AM… & Coke a fancy whisky and Coke.

One hell of a party… now.

Craft Works Distillery Inner Circle

So it’s mid April 2026 and we are massively busy with events, decants, labelling and just making some really tasty product.

I AM… super excited of what is coming down the pipe and it will make some naysayers switch to quiet mode as they will finally understand what my approach to making whisky has resulted in.

A 100% Aussie grown barley, mixed mash bill approach vrs a single variety barley = complex flavour bomb whisky and true Aussie not replication of Scotch flavour.

I AM… so so proud that 9 years ago when I set the Craft Works Distiller path , we choose the hard unknown path instead of the same same same single variety high yield barley pop in a bourbon or sherry cask and mature.
Nothing wrong with that approach it’s just not the Craft Works way.

Exciting whisky releases coming soon.
In the meantime if you purchase IRONFEST or my anti Trump protest bottles it will be a pre release sneak of some of them.
