This morning’s Homemaker Swap was just beautiful! It was so lovely to see a fair few new faces join us and watch our little community continue to grow.
I took along some homesewn reusable makeup wipes, a cleaning cloth, and some handmade aroma stones. I came home with some absolutely wonderful goodies including fresh cows’ milk and plenty of eggs!
I truly love everything about the little community we’ve created. There’s something so special about sharing the things we make, grow and have to offer, meeting new people, and coming home with treasures that have been lovingly made or produced by someone in our community.
So grateful to everyone who comes along and helps make these swaps what they are. Here’s to many more!

It’s been a big week in our house.

On Tuesday, our beautiful girl Zahladee turned 12 (how did that happen so quickly?!), and today she celebrated her final school Book Week.

Book Week has always been one of my favourite times of the year. So many memories have been made around the dining table with cardboard, paint, hot glue, fabric and a little bit of creative chaos. From creating costumes for her big brother years ago, to now watching him help paint the cover of her costume as an 18-year-old, it really does feel like we’ve come full circle.
This year she chose to go as Pearl from The Grandest Bookshop in the World, which was good as she was catching the bus to school. BOOKWEEK COSTUMES (Daneve) 😜

She also had the loveliest 12th birthday on Tuesday, celebrating with our family before finishing the day surrounded by a wonderful bunch of friends down at 1770. It was such a special way to celebrate this milestone.

It’s certainly been a week full of memories we’ll treasure for years to come.👍🏻💜😘

Another beautiful Aggie Homemaker Swap today!

My heart always leaves these mornings feeling so full.
For this month’s swap, I made some handmade bags, and because I always like to bring a little extra to share, I also put together some pre-packed dry ingredients for a comforting dahl, along with some seed bombs and a few bottles of flavoured coconut water for everyone to enjoy.
It was so lovely to welcome some new ladies to the group today. There’s something really special about seeing our little community continue to grow and meeting new like-minded women.
The weather was absolutely stunning (as it so often is!), making it the perfect morning to sit together, chat, swap our homemade goodies and simply enjoy each other’s company.
I came home with so many wonderful treasures, including some meat fat to render into tallow, which I’m excited to have a go at making. One of the things I love most about our swaps is that you never know what inspiring or useful items you’ll come home with!
Every time I leave a Homemaker Swap, I’m reminded just how grateful I am for this beautiful community we’ve created. It’s about so much more than swapping homemade items, it’s about slowing down, sharing skills, encouraging one another, and building genuine friendships with an amazing mix of women.
Thank you to everyone who came along today and made it another wonderful morning. I already can’t wait for next month’s swap. 💜😘👍🏻

It’s that time again…
Sunday bake-up for back-to-school lunches… well, for the men in the house anyway!
So far today I’ve baked: 2 sourdough loaves Chocolate chip muffins Mini quiches Lemon & poppy seed muffins (need to glaze)
And as I’m posting this, I’ve got savoury pinwheels baking away in the oven.
Nothing beats having the freezer stocked and lunches sorted for the week ahead.

These are the days you feel extremely grateful to have great friends who invite you out for a day of fishing, snorkelling and exploring on their awesome boat. 🎣🤿🚤
Great company, beautiful water, plenty of wildlife and a pretty incredible place to call our backyard. 🌊☀️🐠
