Rosella season is here, and judging by today’s harvest, I think it’s time to get busy in the kitchen!
This basket is overflowing with beautiful rosellas, and I’m already dreaming about jars of homemade rosella jam lined up on the shelf of gifting to friends. There’s something so satisfying about turning a garden harvest into something delicious to enjoy long after the season has finished.
I’ll also be dehydrating some of them to add to teas and cocktails throughout the year. They add the most gorgeous colour and a lovely tart flavour that’s hard to beat.
One of the things I love most about growing rosellas is how versatile they are. From jams and syrups to teas, cocktails and baking, they really are a little powerhouse plant in the garden.
Now the only question is... how many jars of jam is too many?

Still thinking about this 💜💜💜

A little reminder that a happy life is often built from the simple things.

Slow mornings, protecting your peace, spending time in nature, meaningful connections and learning to let go of what you can’t control.

I’m still learning many of these myself, but I think happiness isn’t about having more, it’s about appreciating what you already have.

Which one speaks to you most?

Happy 18th Birthday to our son Tahlin Blaze!! and just like that, we now officially have another adult in the house!
Watching you grow into the young man you are today has been one of the greatest joys of our lives. We are so incredibly proud of the person you’ve become.. kind, thoughtful, hardworking, and true to yourself. It feels like only yesterday you were little with that dropped lip of yours, and now here you are stepping into adulthood with your whole future ahead of you.
We love that you are taking a gap year to explore your interests, discover what truly excites and motivates you, and give yourself the time to grow even more before rushing into something just because you feel you have to. Life isn’t a race, and we admire your maturity in wanting to find your own path.
No matter where life takes you, always remember how loved and supported you are. Keep being yourself, stay curious, work hard, trust your instincts, and enjoy the journey ahead. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things your future holds.
Happy 18th birthday!! we love you more than words can say.. 💜👍🏻😘🎉

I honestly can’t believe it’s been over a year since I started Aggie Homemaker Swap here in Agnes Water..
What began as a simple idea to bring like-minded women together has grown into something so incredibly special. This morning was another beautiful gathering filled with wholesome conversations, shared knowledge, laughter and genuine connections, the kind that fills your cup long after you leave.
I came home once again with the most beautiful basket of homemade and homegrown goodies, but what I value most every single time is the sense of community that’s been created through these mornings together.
There’s something really special about sitting around with people who simply “get it” people who value slower living, homemade things, gardening, creativity, raising families, learning old skills and supporting one another in such a genuine way.
Over this past year I feel like I’ve not only learnt so much from others, but I’ve also learnt so much about myself. Creating this space has brought so many beautiful souls into my life and I feel incredibly grateful for every single person who has come along, shared something, supported the idea or simply shown up for a chat and a cuppa.
Sometimes the smallest ideas end up creating the biggest sense of belonging.
Thank you to everyone who continues to make Aggie Homemaker Swap such a warm, welcoming and beautiful community. I truly can’t wait to see where the next year takes us.

Yesterday I did a sourdough class with friends hosted by a lovely local lady, Michelle, and it was such a beautiful experience.. There were plenty of laughs, so much learning and such a lovely relaxed atmosphere. If you ever get the chance to visit Agnes Water, I highly recommend doing one of her classes.
This morning I baked my very first sourdough loaf ,a rye loaf and I honestly felt ridiculously proud pulling it out of the oven. There’s something so grounding and rewarding about learning these old simple skills and creating food from scratch with your own hands.
Im grateful for this community, for the people I’ve met here lately , and for how much I’m learning not only from others, but also about myself along the way.
Living where we do has truly changed me in the best way. It’s reminded me how important genuine connection, slower living, creativity and community really are. Finding “your people” is such a special thing, and I don’t take it for granted for a second.
Here’s to learning new things, sharing knowledge, building community and embracing this beautiful slower way of life.. 💜👍🏻
