It was so bitter sweet to say goodbye to the dahlia patch tonight after I picked 2 last bucket fulls of dahlias. Mother Nature is calling and says it’s time to put them to rest they’ve had a cracker of a season and have bloomed since December 2025 until now, they’ve given me hundreds and hundreds of flowers but now we will look forward to harvesting their seeds and sharing with you all !! Pop out to the roadside stall tomorrow and pick up the last bunches of dahlias.

🎈 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! 🎈

The Canowindra International Balloon Challenge starts is less than two weeks! ⏰

Balloon Week kicks off with the Welcome Street Party and BBQ Competition on Saturday the 11th of April. 🥩🍗🎉🎼

There is a whole host of events during Balloon Week, including daily balloon launches, a trivia night, paint and sip, fashion show, flickerfest and open gardens. 🎨🎬🎈🧠🌸👗

The final weekend kicks off with the Home Ground Sounds: Friday Night Live concert headlined by party band Furnace And The Fundamentals on Friday the 17th of April. 💃

Balloon Week culminates with the Cabonne Community Glow on Saturday the 18th of April, with market stalls, live music, food trucks and of course, glowing hot air balloons lighting up the beautiful Canowindra sky. ✨

We are open !! $30 bunches available today with the last of the Lillie’s in the mix get them before they are gone ! Apologies to anyone who may have travelled out to the stall over the weekend. A wholesale order completely wiped me out of flowers 💐 please message first if you are travelling to the pink stand just to avoid disappointment. We technically aren’t in season yet so the flowers are slow, I can’t wait to be in full swing and be open constantly but for now we are open sporadically thanks for your understanding xx big love ❤️ ###x

Germinating some dahlia seeds using the paper towel method. These seeds were placed in between a layer of damp paper towel on the 2nd of October and as you can see they have already grown little white shoots and have started to pop off the black seed casing to reveal green leaves 🍃 isn’t nature simply amazing !! I will now pot them up into a seed tray containing coco peat and let them grow on until they have atleast 2 sets of leaves then I will plant out in a garden bed

Hi 👋🏻 I thought I might re introduce myself since I’ve had a few new followers lately. I’m Laura this photos was of me about 6 years ago when I was more put together 🤗💁🏻‍♀️ when I only had one kid and I didn’t have the life sucked out of me 🤦‍♀️🤣, now I look more like a barbie doll with its hair pulled out 😂. I can’t stand to have cold feet, I’m a tea ☕️ drinker I don’t drink alcohol. I know I’m more like a grandma but in my 30’s. But in all honesty I now have 4 kids and I run the show here with a little help from my partner Aaron. I absolutely did not think this is what I’d be doing fast forward 6 years from this photo but here we are. I absolutely love growing flowers it was a huge leap when I decided to start this business 2 years ago and I’m really glad I did. The people I’ve met have been the absolute best, gardening people are the kindest people you’ll meet. I didn’t know much about gardening or running a business when I first started but I’m the kind to just start and figure it out as I go and I’m still figuring it out but I’m pretty proud of how far I’ve come so far. I started with 180 dahlias and I now have around 600ish with even more now after I divide my clumps 🤗 I’m still finding my niche but I do love supplying flowers to florists I’d love to have my own flower bar to hire out for special occasions to and a you pick flower event but that’s a long way down the track yet . From a roadside stall full of fresh bouquets to dreams of a mobile flower bar, is all about making blooms accessible to everyone — no matter the budget.

Laura started this journey out of her pure love for growing flowers and the joy of sharing them. There’s nothing quite like seeing someone’s face light up when they receive a bunch she’s nurtured from seed to bloom!
