It was a pleasure to welcome Flannery Gale to Richmond Dairies yesterday! 🎓

Flannery Gale is the 2026 recipient of the Jim Dickinson Mechanical Engineering Scholarship at Southern Cross University and is currently completing her Mechanical Engineering studies.

During her visit, our Maintenance Manager, Terry Hicks, welcomed Flannery for a morning tour of our Casino manufacturing site, giving her the opportunity to see first-hand some of the engineering, equipment and processes behind a working dairy manufacturing facility. ⚙️

The connection between Richmond Dairies and Southern Cross University is particularly meaningful to us. Our operations have featured in engineering case studies and university projects, helping students connect what they learn in the classroom with real industrial challenges.

The Jim Dickinson Mechanical Engineering Scholarship reflects the Dickinson family's long-standing commitment to education and supporting the development of the next generation. We are very proud to see that support helping talented students continue building their skills and future careers. 🌱

A special thank you to Richmond Dairies for so generously supporting our Barista + Cafe Skills courses with milk for our students to use during their practical training. ☕🥛

It’s been great working with Hanh and the Richmond Dairies team, helping them trial different milk compositions and how they perform in coffee, while giving our students the opportunity to put their new barista skills into practice.

There’s one word that keeps coming up when Brad Carroll’s name is put forward for Employee of the Month:

Brad is always willing to step in wherever he’s needed. With the knowledge and versatility to support different departments across the business, he’s often one of the first people called on, and he never hesitates to lend a hand.

He does it quietly, without looking for recognition, and that genuine willingness to support the people around him is exactly why he has been nominated time and time again.

Brad’s positivity is infectious, and his humble and genuine nature has a way of making those around him feel supported. Helping others simply seems to come naturally to him.

And of course, we couldn’t mention Brad without acknowledging his loyalty to the Knights! We know he’ll be cheering them on all the way. 🤞

💛 R U OK? Day & September Birthday Celebrations at Richmond Dairies

Last week, our team came together for a bacon and egg breakfast to recognise R U OK? Day.

It was a great opportunity to take some time out, connect with one another and remember how important it is to simply ask, “Are you OK?”

A small question can make a big difference, and we’re proud to have a team that continues to look out for and support one another every day.

🏆 Employee of the Month – Wayne Underhill 🏆

Earlier this month, we celebrated our Employee of the Month for July – Wayne Underhill!🎉

Wayne has been nominated over several months for consistently supporting his colleagues and helping across all areas of the factory. His knowledge and ability to work across different departments is incredibly valuable, particularly when teams are short-staffed.

He is always willing to step in wherever needed, while still making sure his own day-to-day responsibilities are taken care of.

The shout-out card really sums Wayne up perfectly: reliable, adaptable, supportive, and always ready to lend a hand 👏

We also gave special recognition to Brad Carroll, who stepped into Chris’s role while he was on leave. Brad quickly got back into the swing of things and did a great job helping keep everything running smoothly. Thank you, Brad!

📢 We’re hiring: Production Operator – Spray Dryer

Richmond Dairies is looking for a motivated and committed Production Operator to join our team in Casino, Northern Rivers, NSW.

This full-time role involves operating and monitoring our spray-drying equipment to support the safe and efficient production of high-quality dairy powders. Previous spray-drying or similar manufacturing experience is preferred.

The successful applicant will:

• Have an understanding of spray-drying processes and equipment
• Be available to work shifts based on production schedules
• Be comfortable working in a high-temperature environment
• Demonstrate strong attention to quality and safety
• Work well as part of a team

It was a pleasure to welcome two special guests to Richmond Dairies today:

The visit gave us a valuable opportunity to discuss our overseas presence and explore ways to further strengthen our international growth. 🌏

We also appreciated learning more about Investment NSW’s priorities and the initiatives planned to support Australian exporters, including CIIE.

At Richmond Dairies, we believe that building strong relationships with government, industry and international partners is essential to creating new opportunities for Australian dairy.
