Treat them this Father's Day Sunday to a slap-up feed, a cold beer, and some live music from Kier Stevens at The Tappy at The Mill Castlemaine.

Also, onsale is a new beer. Brewed for the 2026 edition of Bendigo on the Hop, our Birthday Cake Oat Cream DDH Double IPA was designed to be a big stupid party in a glass. Best served with sprinkles on top, it is a hop-fest with a slash of vanilla to bring back memories (past or recent) of a kid’s birthday cake.

Makes sense, as Shedshaker Brewing turned 10 this year so this is our idea of a birthday cake! Kicking in at 7.6%abv, it is a big, juicy, hazy and yes, deeply silly beer. Which is why we love it. Grab one now at the Taproom (only one keg remains) or grab some cans from good bottle shops and pour yourself a party in a glass. With sprinkles on top.

FRIDAY NIGHT - 8PM - FREE ENTRY

Chris Hudson & The Late Entrants mark the release of their debut single Lost in Silence and offer a first live preview of songs from their forthcoming EP Live Later Vol.1.

The night will open with an intimate acoustic set from Chris Hudson, joined by special guest DTC on trumpet. Set 1 culminates in the live premiere of Lost in Silence, an unflinching meditation on solitude, isolation and the quiet courage it takes to find hope, released on this very night.

After a short break, The Late Entrants take the stage in full for a longer, more expansive second set, previewing more songs from Live Later Vol.1 before its release later in 2026.

Atmospheric, unflinching and deeply biographical indie for sophisticated ears and searching minds. Come early!
