Settle in for a chilled Sunday session with Jhana Allan.

Her forthcoming single You Got The Eyes is a mandolin-driven slice of country-folk with warm vocals, a little swagger and a wry take on unwanted infatuation. When someone’s gaze is just too intense, there’s only one answer: sunglasses, day and night.

Jhana Allan is a talented multi-instrumentalist and songwriter inspired by the likes of Joni Mitchell and Laura Marling, Jhana brings a wealth of musical experience and a beautiful folk sensibility to her songs.

She’ll be playing two sets with the brilliant Tim Merrikin on bass.

THURSDAY 8TH OCT - Katy Steele is bringing her UNDRESSED tour to The Tappy, with an intimate live show that strips the songs right back to voice, piano, guitar and nothing to hide behind.

Expect songs from Little Birdy, her solo work and her new limited-edition Undressed album, including beautiful takes on Patti Smith, Lou Reed and Michael Jackson.

Supporting Katy is Melbourne indie-pop singer-songwriter SIDNEY, whose emotionally honest songs have racked up millions of streams and seen her share stages with Angus & Julia Stone, The Rubens and others.

Raw, honest and unfiltered. This should be a beautiful night.

Oktoberfest is happening at The Tappy on SUNDAY, and we’ve got an interesting line-up since you can’t be at the real thing.

At 3PM, Castlemaine favourites Thompson’s Foundry Band are back for another oompa extravaganza. B**r and brass, what could possibly go wrong?

The Thompson’s Foundry Band have been part of Castlemaine life for more than 140 years, so you really should come down and experience them in all their glory.

And yes, there’s B**R. Our Dark L***r is back for Oktoberfest. It’s a proper Schwarzbier, and it’s just $10 A PINT ALL DAY.

Then from 5–7PM, we have a couple of guys that sound like they’re straight out of Game of Thrones. Sirs Grim Fawkner & Alister Turrill take over with murder ballads, doomed love songs, country-folk bangers and harmonies that may well cause your heart to grow another tiny heart.
