Frenmore Food Distributors was established in 1972 by Angelo Arcuri together with his wife Maria-anna. It is now a second generation family owned and operated business celebrating it 40th year this year (2012). Frenmore Food Distributors began when Angelo, then aged 42, purchased a van and began selling to only a handful of shops delivering in the Sydney metropolitan area. However being of Italian
descent and not speaking very good English, Angelo found himself losing customers to his competitors. This made Angelo work even harder to get his business back by giving better prices, good quality products and most of all by being honest. After many years Angelo became successful in making the business prosper and thrive and encouraged his children to complete high school and obtain a trade before even thinking about entering the family business. The early eighties saw Elio join his father in the business then followed by Denis, Robert and Simon. Currently, Angelo is retired and enjoying the prospers of his hard work and Elio, Robert, Denis and Simon currently run the day to day running of the business. The business has expanded and flourished since the brothers have taken over, moving to new and larger premises located at Prestons in 2006. The brothers believe in a hands on approach by being involved in all aspects of the day to day activities of running the business. Frenmore caters to a wide variety of clients including Café’s, delicatessens, pizza shops, butchers, restaurants, clubs and small independent supermarkets. Customer service is a number one priority and you will find that all brothers are constantly on the phone talking with customers, taking orders and handling all enquires. A satisfying and rewarding achievement is that some customers have been with the business since it’s humble beginnings with Angelo and this makes the brothers more driven and motivated to keep the business growing and moving forward into the future. Frenmore’s product range is diverse and extensive and they are always aiming to improve their range by only offering the highest quality products sourced from excellent suppliers.
