π HERE'S TO MY ACAI BLAST JOURNEYβ¦ π
It's a little bit of a long read, but it's my story behind Acai Blast and if you stay to read it, I appreciate you π
12 months ago, I bought a food trailer with a dream.
A dream to work for myself.
A dream to build something of my own.
A dream to step into a completely different life after spending 19 years in my previous job.
But underneath that dream was a whole lot of doubt.
I didn't really believe in myself.
I worried I wasn't good enough.
I worried people wouldn't like what I was doing.
I worried I'd fail.
And the truth is⦠I procrastinated.
For about 6 months, I found every excuse not to start.
The trailer was sitting there, ready to go, and I just couldn't bring myself to take that first step.
Looking back now, I think I was scared.
Scared to put myself out there.
Scared of public criticism.
Scared to fail.
And probably even more scared to find out whether I could actually do this.
Eventually, I had to tell myself:
"Stop fu***ng thinking about it and just do it!!"
So I did.
And wow⦠what a ride it has been.
There have been days I've driven home exhausted, wondering what the hell I was doing.
There have been things that haven't worked.
Events that haven't gone how I imagined.
Moments where I've doubted myself all over again.
But there have also been moments I'll never forget.
Backing the trailer into the driveway first try, without a dozen corrections.
The little kids getting excited when they see the trailer.
Customers coming back and supporting me.
People telling their friends about Acai Blast.
Someone sending me a message just to say they loved their bowl.
People cheering me on when they probably don't even realise how much their support means to me.
And somewhere along the wayβ¦
something started to change.
I'm talking to people I don't know.
I'm putting myself out there.
I'm saying yes to things that the old me would have been too scared to do.
I'm learning.
I'm making mistakes.
I'm figuring things out as I go.
I still have self-doubt.
I still have days where I question myself.
I still don't know exactly where this journey is going.
But I don't think I need to know anymore.
Sometimes you just have to take the next step and trust that you'll figure out the rest along the way.
So today, I'm looking at that trailer a little differently.
A year ago, I saw a food trailer.
Now I see the thing that pushed me completely outside my comfort zone.
The thing that made me believe in myself a little more.
The thing that has introduced me to so many amazing people.
The thing that has given me something to be proud of.
And maybe most importantlyβ¦
The thing that taught me I was capable of more than I thought I was.
To every single person who has supported Acai Blast over these last 6 months of tradingβ¦
Thank you.
Honestly.
Every bowl.
Every cup.
Every share.
Every follow.
Every kind word.
Every "see you next time."
It all means more than you probably realise.
Acai Blast might be a small businessβ¦
β¦but for me, it's become so much more than that.
It's a reminder that sometimes the hardest thing isn't starting a business.
It's believing you're brave enough to start.
And I'm so glad I finally did.
Here's to the next chapter.
I'm still figuring it out.
I'm still growing.
I'm still finding my way.
But I'm here.
And I'm bloody proud of that. π€πβ€οΈ
