After 30 years and 7 months of trading, today is Barry’s last day behind the counter as owner. Before BT Meats, Barry spent 11½ years learning the craft with Ron and Shirley Plant at the butcher shop many of you knew as Plants Meats — so it’s fair to say this shop has been a huge part of his life for a very long time.
We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported Barry over the years — the chats, the laughs, the loyalty, and of course the love of good quality meat.
We’re excited to welcome the new owners, Lochie and Jess, and wish them all the best. We know they’ll keep up the great service and top-quality meat BT Meats is known for.
And don’t worry… you’ll still see Barry around the shop from time to time— Jo won’t let him retire just yet 😄
