A big thank you to Liam Cardile from LRC Livestock Services for scanning the W Sale Bulls & Heifers for Myanga Angus today.

Collecting scan data is an important part of our breeding program and gives us valuable insight into the carcass quality and performance potential of our cattle. Measurements including EMA (Eye Muscle Area), Rib Fat, Rump Fat and IMF% (Intramuscular Fat/Marbling) help us make more informed breeding decisions and continue striving to produce functional, profitable Angus genetics for our clients.

For Myanga Angus, this data is incredibly valuable as it allows us to identify cattle that combine performance, muscle expression, market suitability and eating quality — ensuring we continue moving our program in the right direction for both seedstock and commercial producers alike.

We appreciate Liam’s professionalism and the work that goes into collecting accurate data across the entire W drop!

Autumn cows & heifer groups Al's done yesterday thanks to HVC - Wok & Laura, Thankyou for all your help. Back Up Sires semen tested passing with flying colours & they where put out with there groups today for a 6 week joining!

12mls of lovely rain over night & still looking promising.

Myanga Angus has been remarkably active recently. Over the past month, Stuart has been diligently planting crops to ensure their timely establishment ahead of the impending cold weather. Furthermore, we recently participated in the Sydney Royal Easter Show, showcasing two heifers, and although we did not secure any ribbons, we were highly satisfied with their presentation. Subsequent to the event, we have successfully completed the weaning process for all spring calves and relocated their dams to superior grazing pastures. The accompanying video depicts the spring cows and heifers being moved away from the weaners to a new pasture today!
