Genie's Hole in the wall is a humble bakery-style kitchen based in Melbourne's bayside area baking authentic homemade style slow cooked beef pies, sausage rolls, scrolls, muffins, party food and more. With a love of food and design from a young age, I’ve bounced between working in hospitality and design throughout my working life. Having always dreamt of owning my own little cafe or eatery, Genie's Hole in the Wall finally came together during Melbourne's lockdowns. It seemed the perfect time to get started with the business side of things and all the paperwork. Weird right? We now provide authentic home-baked goodness to all corners of Melbourne, delivering treats such as Sausage Rolls, Beef & Mushroom Pies, Cinnamon Scrolls and more! Now in our 2nd year, we are going from strength to strength having set up our very own stall for local farmer's markets! We love our community and always endeavour to support those other small businesses around us while also cooking with unique indigenous spices.

Baked with love, caffeine and questionable sleep schedules.
Behind every small bakery is a real person juggling approximately 47 things at once, running on coffee, and occasionally wondering what day it is. 😂
Here at Genie's Bakery, we're a little family business based in Cheltenham, baking up your favourite savoury pastries and sweet treats while keeping up with two beautiful little boys.
It's not always glamorous (there's a lot of washing up, a questionable amount of flour on the floor, and coffee that gets reheated approximately 17 times), but we wouldn't have it any other way.
Every order, every share, every kind word and every recommendation means the world to our little business.
So next time you tuck into one of our homemade pies, sausage rolls or cinnamon scrolls, just know there's a whole lot of love behind every bite. And probably a coffee or two.

A little menu update from Genie's Bakery!
We've recently simplified our menu by removing single-item orders and our mixed sweet & savoury pack.
As a small, family-run home bakery with two little ones keeping us busy, preparing tiny orders (yes, even ONE muffin! 😅) can be surprisingly time-consuming.
This change helps us spend less time juggling small batches and more time baking the homemade goodies you love!
Don't worry — you can still order our packs of savoury pastries and sweet treats!
