Quick cellar update: the 2024 Rabbit & Spaghetti Clare Valley Shiraz is getting close to the finish line, and this morning I’ve been working through the barrels to put the final blend together.
There’s a bit involved in barrel work. First, we get the barrels down from the racks with the forklift and line them up so we can work through them. Then it’s hoses, pumps, tasting, checking and, in this case, emptying the barrels so we can bring the wine together.
We’re lucky to have a winery that’s really well set up for this job. Plenty of space, drains in all the right places and everything designed to make the work easier.
Time to make some decisions so this Shiraz takes its next step towards the bottle.

G’day USA Angels,

Some wines are made to be enjoyed.
This one was also made to tell a story.

Our 2022 Rabbit & Spaghetti Old Vine Grenache has just landed in the US. It comes from 80-year-old vines on the old soldier settler blocks of the Clare Valley — vineyards that have seen a lot of seasons and a lot of stories.

Rabbit & Spaghetti has always been about the way wine brings people together, and this Grenache feels like a pretty good example of that.

If you’ve been waiting for it, now’s the time.
