With over 40 years of pâtisserie experience across London and Australia, an Award of Excellence from l’Académie Culinaire de France, and more than 10 years judging at the Perth Royal Food Awards, Simon brings incredible expertise and passion to the Chocolate competition.

The Perth Royal Food Awards season is in full swing with our next competition now open for entries. Winemakers, it's your time to shine! 🍷✨

This is your annual opportunity to gain valuable product development feedback in a blind judging model while being benchmarked against the best wines in the country. With a proud history dating back to 1843, our respected competition features a judging panel of local, interstate and international experts.

Our judges are getting ready to stop and smell the rosé 🌹 make sure to enter before July 27. Wine not? 🥂

Meet our Chief Judge for the Dairy competition, Ros Garstone 🧀🥛

A dairy farmer from Margaret River with a lifelong passion for cheesemaking and the dairy industry, Ros brings an exceptional depth of experience to the judging panel. With qualifications in applied science and education, award-winning industry training, and judging experience across Australia’s leading dairy shows, this will be her sixth year involved in the Perth Royal Food Awards - Dairy competition

We’re thrilled to have her expertise guiding this year’s competition!

This week, & were joined by the Bartender of the Year, Charlie Coates, to talk spirits on ABC Drive! The Perth Royal Food Awards Distilled Spirits competition has officially opened for entries, and WA is boasting awesome distilleries with a bustling hospitality scene 🍸

Working behind the bar at .79, Charlie is one of the bartenders creating a unique drinking experience with a focus on seasonality. Swipe for a Seasonal Sgroppino recipe featuring an aperitif from WA’s very own , a distillery focused on reducing fruit waste by using it to create spirits!
