They say that the first sign of Spring is the release of one of WA’s greatest rosés. So far that legend holds true with Fraser Gallop Estate latest Rosé releasefor 2026.

A beautifully elegant Wilyabrup release made from 100% Shiraz and crafted in a crisp, Provençal-inspired style.

Ultra pale rose gold in the glass, it opens with delicate pomegranate, rose petal and soft nougat notes before moving into a vibrant palate of white peach, nectarine and bright red berries.

There’s a lovely mineral line, a touch of savoury detail and refreshing salinity that keeps everything precise, dry and seriously moreish.

No oak, plenty of freshness and made to be enjoyed young — this is exactly the kind of rosé you want chilled and ready for warm afternoons, seafood, salads or a long lunch that turns into dinner.

Available in-store and online now.

With us the Pinot Party never stops!

Two serious Pinot Noir releases from one of Australia’s most respected producers, Bass Phillip Wines, have landed — the 2024 Estate Pinot Noir and 2024 Premium Pinot Noir.

From Gippsland, Bass Phillip has built its reputation on Pinot Noir with depth, detail and real sense of place. These are wines that favour finesse over force, with layers of red cherry, dark berry fruit, spice, earth and savoury complexity carried by fine tannins and beautiful length.

Bass Phillip Estate Pinot Noir 2024 (Left)
Elegant, lifted and expressive, showing the purity and balance that makes Bass Phillip such a benchmark name.

Bass Phillip Premium Pinot Noir 2024 (Right)
A step up in concentration and structure, with more depth, intensity and cellaring potential while still holding that signature silky feel.

Rare, allocated and always in demand — these are bottles for Pinot lovers, collectors and anyone who appreciates truly thoughtful winemaking.

Available in-store and online now.

The new Picardy Tête de Cuvée Pinot Noir 2023 has arrived, and this is a seriously special release from one of Australia’s benchmark Pinot producers.

Tête de Cuvée means the best wine of the vintage, and Picardy created this bottling to showcase the finest Pinot Noir they’re capable of producing — with intensity, complexity, structure and cellaring potential front and centre.

Expect a beautifully layered Pemberton Pinot with dark cherry, blackberry, pomegranate, spice, black tea, subtle cedar and earthy savoury detail. There’s depth and power here, but it’s carried with the finesse and elegance that Picardy does so well.

A rare and limited release for Pinot lovers, collectors, or anyone who wants to see just how good WA Pinot Noir can be.

Available in-store and online now.

Tasting Panel Newsletter 19, part II.

When the panel starts has this much Cabernet, you know it’s going to be a good afternoon.

This line-up from our latest Tasting Panel Newsletter brings together everything we love about Cabernet and Cabernet blends — structure, depth, generous fruit and plenty of value in the glass.

These are the next 6 of the 12 wines featured in Issue 19, pictured left to right as shown (in no scoring order):

• Fermoy Estate Cabernet Merlot 2022
• Swings & Roundabouts Eskimo Joe “Black Fingernails” Cabernet Merlot 2025
• Rosily Vineyard The Cartographer Cabernet Merlot 2024
• Rustenberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
• Lake Breeze Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
• Hay Shed Hill Vineyard Series Cabernet Sauvignon 2024

There’s a strong Margaret River thread running through this group, with Fermoy, Rosily and Hay Shed Hill all showing that classic mix of dark fruit, savoury detail and polished structure. Then there’s Rustenberg bringing a touch of Stellenbosch class, and Lake Breeze proving exactly why Langhorne Creek Cabernet deserves more attention.

A special shoutout also has to go to the Eskimo Joe x Swings & Roundabouts Cabernet Merlot — a limited-edition local collaboration made to celebrate 20 years of Black Fingernails, Red Wine.

ISSUE 19 of our Tasting Panel Newsletter is out now — and this line-up is bringing the reds in a big way 🍷 (thank goodness its back to wintery weather 😅)

For this edition, our panel tasted through a strong selection of wines built for the cooler months: powerful and refined Cabernet, generous Shiraz, silky Pinot, plush Italian reds and plenty of bottles that over-deliver for the money.

After the scores were tallied and the glasses were put down, 12 wines stood out as bottles we’d happily take home ourselves.

The first 6 of 12, in no scoring order, From left to right:

• Teusner The Riebke Shiraz 2021
• Craggy Range Martinborough Pinot Noir 2025
• Two Hands Gnarly Dudes Shiraz 2024
• Rockcliffe Third Reef Shiraz 2020
• Tenuta Ulisse Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC 2024
• Langmeil Prime Cut Shiraz 2024

There’s plenty of personality here — from plush Barossa richness and polished Great Southern spice to fragrant Martinborough Pinot and a crowd-pleasing Montepulciano that has now impressed us across multiple vintages.

A proper fireside, roast dinner, slow-cooked Sunday kind of selection.

All wines are available in-store and online now, with full tasting notes featured in our latest digital newsletter.

New Beechworth Vino!

From Castagna in Beechworth, the Adam’s Rib range is all about character, texture and wines that don’t simply follow the usual script.

On the left, Adam’s Rib “The Red” 2022 — a savoury, layered red with dark fruit, spice and an earthy edge. It’s got depth and structure, but still keeps that lovely drinkability that makes it perfect with food.

On the right, Adam’s Rib Chardonnay with Viognier 2024 — a bright, textural white with stone fruit, citrus and a gentle aromatic lift from the Viognier. Fresh, expressive and just a little unexpected.

Two wines with personality, made for people who like their bottles with a bit of interest and individuality.

Available in-store and online now.

New Picardy and to the incredible Pannell Family range🍷

The 2025 Pannell Family Chardonnay — the first white wine released under the Pannell Family label, made from estate-grown fruit from the Picardy vineyard in Pemberton.

It follows the same idea as the Pannell Family Pinot Noir: serious quality, great value and that unmistakable Picardy precision.

Expect generous stone fruit up front, with honeysuckle, ginger and a touch of citrus pith adding detail and freshness. Ray Jordan has already rated this wine 95pts and noting its Pemberton precision, subtle cashew complexity and a palate that builds in intensity through a long, refined finish.

Elegant, textural and beautifully composed — this is a cracking new Chardonnay from one of WA’s most respected wine families.

Available in-store and online now.

The Ferngrove Orchid Dragon Shiraz 2023 has just taken out Best in Show at the 2026 Decanter World Wine Awards, scoring 97 points and landing among the Top 50 wines in the world.

It’s a massive result for Great Southern Shiraz, and an historic one too — reported as the first ever Best in Show for a wine from Frankland River at Decanter. The 2026 awards judged close to 17,000 wines from around the world, with only 50 receiving Best in Show.

Made from 100% Shiraz, this is all about vibrant red fruit, regional spice and polished texture. Expect raspberry, redcurrant, ripe cherry and strawberry pastille, with a touch of smoky oak and a silky, generous finish.

Powerful, bright and beautifully balanced — a serious Frankland River Shiraz now recognised on the world stage. We’ve been saying it for years that our best kept secret is the Great Southern and its wines, now the secrets out on a global stage.

Available in-store and online now.
