We’re proud to support the local organisations that work tirelessly to make a difference in our community.

The Redlands RSL Community Grants Program provides funding of up to $5,000 to eligible not-for-profit organisations operating within the Redlands, helping with items such as equipment, volunteer training and other resources that support their important work.

Thank you to Henry Pike MP for visiting Redlands RSL Sub Branch this morning and taking the time to meet with our volunteers and staff.

We greatly appreciate the confirmation of the BEST Program funding over the next three years, supporting the vital advocacy and assistance our team provides to local veterans and their families.
(BEST = Building Excellence In Support and Training grants program through DVA, which provides financial support to Ex-Service Organisations for veteran advocacy and welfare).

Thank you also for listening to the concerns being raised within our veteran community and continuing to advocate for better access to the care and support they deserve.

This morning I was at the Redlands RSL Sub Branch with the volunteers and staff who do an outstanding job supporting local veterans and their families.

I was pleased to confirm more than $345,000 over three years through the BEST Program to support their important advocacy and support work.

But I was also there to listen. To hear how we can make the system easier to navigate, cut through unnecessary red tape and make sure veterans can get the support they need without having to fight for it.

I have deep concerns about the new $5,000 DVA funding cap and what it could mean for veterans who rely on allied health care. Our veterans have already given plenty to this country. Access to the care they need should not come down to an arbitrary cap. They deserve certainty, proper support and a system that puts their needs first.
