Theodore Feature Show 26

A belated post of our dash up to Theodore Show that took place a couple weeks ago. 5 head ventured to the show with the Santa Gertrudis being the Feature breed of the show.

4 of the 5 head managed a ribbon. The Highlight for us was seeing both Forest Park Liz and Alice placing 🥇 and 🥈 in their respected female class.

Ribbleton Where’s Wally and Whitney both received 🥉 in their classes. A couple months off now for the team before Ekka.

A congratulations to all the other exhibitors for showing off there exhibits both lead and unlead in these tuff and testing times. Also a thanks to all the sponsors of the Feature section and the Santa Gertrudis Society for hosting the event.

Wandoan and Wallumbilla Show 26.

The last couple weekends have been very busy for Gus. He did a solo run out to the Wandoan Show with Ribbleton Whitney and Wesley. And the weekend just gone saw Gus trade in the lead ropes for the microphone to Judge the whole Stud Cattle section at the Wallumbilla Show.

Great to see a number of different breeds competing for Gus to run his eye over and comment on his opinion. We're very proud of his efforts going out and having a crack.

A thanks to the Wallumbilla Show Society and Ashlee White for the invitation for Gus to come along and assess the cattle!

Toowoomba Royal 26 💨

8 head traveled to Toowoomba Showgrounds for the Annual Royal Show for 2026. All 8 exhibits coming away with a ribbon and 5 broad ribbons!!

Forest Park 2851 ‘Liz’ came out on top winning Junior and Grand Champion Santa Female and Santalands Yes Sir winning Junior and Grand Champion Bull. He went on to get Supreme Santa Exhibit also! Congrats to Glenn and Fran Holt with Yes Sir.

Pittsworth Show 26 🤩

Yesterday the show team ventured to Pittsworth. Ribbleton Whitney (Sired by Dunlop Thor T434) had a stellar debut in the show team. Winning the biggest class of the day of 15 females aged 16 to 20 months of age. Going onto to win Junior Champion Tropical Female. 🏆

It was even more pleasing seeing the first 3 placing of this big heifer class being Santa Gertrudis! (Ribbleton Whitney, Forest Park 2851, Santalands Yarni)

Along with Whitney’s success, Santalands Santa Gertrudis Yes Sir outshined plenty of quality in the Junior Interbreed Bull Spectacular. Winning his class and then was selected Champion of the section.

Clifton Show 26 🌨️

Last weekend saw the show team at our local Clifton show. The wet weather didn’t stop the show and all 7 head behaviour well in the conditions. The heifers had there time under the lights for All Breeds Heifer Show on the Friday night. Over the moon with all 3 females placing in the very contested section.

Santalands Santa Gertrudis Yes Sir was the standout on the weekend. Managing to win his class and went on to win Junior and Grand Champion Santa Gertrudis Bull.

Allora Show 26 🎪

Yesterday was the start of our show run for the year. With the truck full with 7 head, it was a very competitive Tropical section with Santa’s Gertrudis, Brafords and Brahmans in the ring. It was pleasing to see 85 stud cattle entries with 20+ being Santa Gertrudis exhibits.

A huge congratulations and thanks to Leanne Ridley, Neil Pacholke, and there crew on running the Stud cattle section, making a welcoming and enjoyable program.

Santalands Yes Sir and Yarni joined us again to start the year for the local shows. A big thanks to Glenn and Fran Holt with in-trusting us to prep and show there cattle.

Highlight of the day was Forset Park 2851 (P) who came out on top of the biggest class of the day receiving first 🥇out of 11 in the heifer class 12 months and under 16 months. She went on to receive Reserve Junior Female!!

Some out and about pictures of a busy weekend at Ribbleton. From cutting and baling 40 acres of forage sorghum to moving the ‘V’ and ‘W’ heifers onto 44 acres of lab lab.

🌧️ We have also been very spoilt with rain keeping everything green, already receiving 122mm for the year!!

Looking forward to local shows staring up in a couple weeks kicking off at Allora.

Santa Camp 2026 ⭐️

What a way to start the new year with the Santa Gertrudis youth camp held at Morgan Park. We were pleased to have 2 bulls and 2 heifers presented at the camp for the students to gain experience in the showing arena.

Our 2 heifers that we’ve aquired from the Forest Park Stud were presented in the Vytelle flushing demonstration. Very excited to see how the pair of female’s impact our stud with IVF and for the future shows we have planned for them.

Was also pleasing to see Ribbleton Wesley and Forest Park 2851 (P) place 1st in there respected age class in the Stud judging on the Friday afternoon.

Great to see so many students, volunteers and family’s involved in the week. Congratulations on the Santa Gertrudis society on a well ran event for the youth of the breed.

The team of 7 are all ready for judging day tomorrow at 8:30am in ring 4 at the Brisbane Ekka. They’ve all just had their final wash and are raring to go.

We’ve also had the privilege of preparing and showing off 2 head for Glenn and Fran Holt of Santalands Santa Gertrudis this year.

Featuring in the last photo is Ribbleton Where’s Wally, calf on Ribbleton Tessa. Wally being the first progeny of Dunlop Thor T434 to been shown.
