Wallumba Feedlot
Located approximately 15km from Condamine, Wallumba Feedlot is an integral part of the MDH supply chain and also operates as a custom feeding facility. Wallumba is currently expanding toward its licensed capacity of 20,000 head, with approximately 17,000 head currently on feed.
Adjacent to Wallumba is MDH’s irrigated farming property, “Nangram”, which, through 10 centre pivots, supplies 100% of the silage requirements for the feedlot operation.
Wallumba employs approximately 15 full-time equivalent staff, with a mix of onsite and locally based employees.
About the Role
MDH is seeking an organised and proactive Integrity and Compliance Officer to oversee and support the continuous improvement of Wallumba’s compliance systems, operational protocols, staff onboarding and training processes, and workplace culture initiatives.
This is a full-time position reporting directly to feedlot management.
The role will work closely with feedlot management and employees across all operational areas to support best practice systems, workplace health and safety compliance, feedlot audit preparedness, and the development of effective operational procedures.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong organisational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a practical agricultural environment.
Key Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversight and review of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) systems, policies, procedures, and safety meeting processes
Assisting management with recruitment, onboarding, staff inductions, and coordination of training opportunities
Supporting the development, implementation, and review of operational protocols and procedures across livestock, feed mill, and administration functions in conjunction with relevant managers
Assisting with feedlot audit preparation, compliance documentation, and integrity systems management
Supporting document control, data entry, and record management processes
Assisting with team engagement and workplace culture initiatives across the Wallumba operation
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across compliance and operational systems
Position Requirements and Details
Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Experience or familiarity with WHS systems and compliance processes is advantageous
Genuine interest in systems development and practical implementation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general document management systems
High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
Agricultural or feedlot industry experience is advantageous
A genuine interest in supporting workplace culture and team development
