Well, that's a wrap on the 2026 Melbourne Show! 🩷

This year, for the first time, I decided to enter two of my cakes into the Cookery Competition, and I'm so happy with how they went.

🥈 Second Prize - Banana Cake
🏅 High Commendation - Chocolate Cake

And the banana cake is particularly special because it's my Nanna's recipe. 🩷

I've been making this cake for years, but seeing her recipe sitting in the Melbourne Show with a Second Prize ribbon beside it was a pretty special moment. 🥹

Feeling very proud of these two little cakes, and very grateful for the recipes and love that get passed down through generations. 🍌🤎

Maybe I'll have to start thinking about what to enter next year… 👀
