Sometimes a coffee is about much more than coffee. ☕
Today I had the pleasure of catching up with a passionate local DVA advocate whose work quietly makes a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families.
Many veterans find the DVA system overwhelming to navigate, particularly when they’re dealing with service-related injuries or illness. Advocates like Eddie, who lives in Bundaberg and travels across the broader Burnett region, volunteer their time, knowledge and experience to help veterans understand their entitlements, access support and ensure they don’t have to face the process alone.
It’s work that often happens behind the scenes, but it changes lives.
We’re grateful for people in our community who dedicate themselves to supporting those who have served our country, and we’re proud to have Homegrown be a place where conversations like these happen.
