Our Story
Two mothers with health and fitness background started this crazy idea of producing gluten free dumplings four years ago. After months of developing our range of dumplings, we were finally happy to launch our foods to the public. In early 2015, 8D House opened it’s doors to customers on Toorak Rd, Camberwell. With trepidation, we put up a poster of our GLUTEN FREE DUMPLINGS. We haven’t looked back since.
Customers travelled all over Victoria to visit our little Asian Fusion cafe. We were humbled by the appreciation of our customers who had not been able to taste dumplings due to allergens and health conditions. It wasn’t long before we were selling our frozen gluten free dumplings to the public on request. Soon we were approached by retailers and our Gourmet Gyozas hit the shelves of a few specialty retailers. We realised that our humble cafe would outgrow it’s capacity to produce enough for our wholesale customers. Added with the rising cost of retail rent and overheads, our business took a change in direction. We set up a small manufacturing site so we could increase both capacity for production, and more importantly, reach our customers far and wide.
In our current site, we are busy filling orders from both retail and hospitality trade. However, we always have time for our loyal customers who’d like to visit our premises to pick up some Gourmet Gyozas for when the craving takes over!
8D House’s vision is to produce quality and tasty foods suitable for EVERYBODY at a reasonable price. We look forward to continuing this trend with other food ranges.
